There aren't any new enemies here. Go all the way down the ramps and pick up the chest for a Gumdrop, then go south-west, south-east, south, then south again. If you try to move down here Niccolo will rush into you and sell you an important item for 50 lucre - the Cactus Essence. Once he's gone head down and plant it in the pot in the area to venture into your Hothouse. When you're done, go back north-west, go right and pick up the chest for a Gumdrop, then go north-east, then north.
