Aqua Jet is a first-person motorboat racing arcade game that was put out by Namco in 1996; it runs on Namco System 22 hardware, and the player needs to use a replica motorboat with a squeezable accelerator to steer the virtual equivalent through one of two different selectable courses (the 550cc Novice Course for beginners, and the 1100cc Expert Course for professionals) as it competes in a race against 11 other CPU-controlled riders. If the replica boat's handlebars are raised the camera's view shall move up to reflect their position, but if they are lowered it will move down - and if they are raised and lowered rhythmically on the Expert Course, it's possible to make the virtual boat perform shorter jumps at positions other than the three ramps present on both courses (if the player finishes their chosen course, the distances they jumped on each ramp will also be displayed on the screen). Furthermore, if the handlebars are held when the virtual boat is splashing back down into the water from a jump on the Expert Course, it is possible to make it go underwater for a short period of time; lastly, if the player finishes their chosen course quickly enough, they will get to enter their initials on its "best time" table (along with its "Jump Contest" table if their jump distances were good enough).
