Flash games are currently outside of StrategyWiki's scope. The ones that exist here have been included as "exceptions to the rule." Please do not create new guides for Flash games unless they have also been ported to a console or a distribution service like Android or iOS.

Adobe Flash (previously called Shockwave Flash and Macromedia Flash) is a set of multimedia software that was originally created by FutureWave Software in 1993. In 1996, Macromedia acquired the software and re-released it as Flash, where it was later purchased by Adobe Systems in 2007, who currently develops and produces it.

Flash games are those created using Adobe Flash and presented by the Adobe Flash Player within a browser. Flash games are available across operating systems with the ".swf" file extension and are compatible with any browser for which the player can be installed.
