Characters

The Player's Ship

The protagonist of the game. Unlike the ones from the previous games, it can move vertically as well as horizontally (but only around the lower half of the screen, like in Centipede).

Enemies

There are five different types of enemy and three different races of each of the five enemy types. They will change after every ten stages and are all worth 100 points if killed in formation.

King - Only one of these dragonfly-like aliens appears at the very top of each formation, and is worth 500 points if killed while attacking (400 more than if in the formation).

Blaster Heads

The Kings sometimes yield these when they appear, and you will have to kill them while they are attacking with them in order to have them fall down and land on the top of your ship.

  • Red: A multicoloured energy beam will activate for a short period of time. Try to capture as many enemies as you can with it in order to make them fight against their alien comrades.
  • Blue: Your ships will be able to move around the (lower half of the) screen at a much faster speed and fire more powerful shots at a faster pace after obtaining the blue blaster head.
  • Green: A cyclone will activate for a short period of time after obtaining the green blaster head. Try to capture as many enemies as you can with it, then fire at each of them to kill them.
  • Pink: All of the aliens that are currently remaining on the screen will be forced to move and fire shots at a slower speed for a short period of time after obtaining the pink blaster head.
  • Turquoise: You will be able to make your shots move left and right with your ships to line up with any aliens that are currently remaining on screen after obtaining the yellow blaster head.
  • Yellow: Your ship will be able to fire shots that are capable of destroying the normally-indestructible shooting stars and homing bombs after obtaining the turquoise blaster head.
