VR Training in the first Metal Gear Solid consists of 20 VR missions plus one Survival Mode.
Training Mode[edit]
In this mode you'll have access to the 10 Time Attack VR missions with an alternate and easier Soldier placement without any time limit.
Time Attack Mode[edit]
Each mission has a time limit but also 3 records (from first to third place). The player needs to beat the mission with the lowest time possible. Records can vary depending on region (US/EU/JP). Times displayed below are from the US version.

Gun Shooting Mode[edit]
In this mode you will face the same mission layout as before but this time you need to kill all enemies within the time limit and with limited ammo, then when every enemy is dead you will have to reach the exit.
