This chart details the effectiveness of specific type attacks against dual type Pokémon. Each cell is color-coded to relate to a specific effectiveness, as detailed below.
Ineffective
Black cells designate ineffective attacks. |
One or both of the types the dual type Pokémon has is unaffected by the element. Even if just one type is unaffected, it will nullify the attack and be rendered useless.
- EX. Ground vs. Fire/Flying
Not Very Effective
Blue and dark-blue cells designate Not Very Effective attacks. |
Dark-blue cells designate 1 Normal Effectiveness and 1 Not Very Effective. These do 0.5x damage.
- EX. Fighting vs. Flying/Dragon
Blue cells designate 2 Not Very Effective. These do 0.25x damage.
- EX. Fighting vs. Flying/Bug
Normal Effectiveness
White cells designate Normal Effectiveness attacks. |
This can either be 1 Super Effective, and 1 Not Very Effective...
- EX. Fire vs. Water/Grass
Or 2 Normal Effectives.
- EX: Normal VS Water/Flying
Both do Normal Damage.
Super Effective
Dark-red cells designate Super Effective attacks. |
This shows 1 Super Effective type, and 1 Normal Effective type. One is weak to that particular element, whereas the other takes normal damage. This does 2x damage.
- EX: Fire vs. Grass/Poison
Ultra Effective
Red cells designate Ultra Effective attacks. |
Here there are 2 Super Effectives occurring in one attack. Both types are weak that particular element. This does 4x damage.
- EX: Electric vs. Water/Flying
