Specialized card rewards[edit]
After beating the game, if you are having trouble filling in the gaps in your collection, consider visiting particular fighters who begin to reward character cards from specific series. They are as follows:
- Take (NeoGeo Land): Fatal Fury series and Art of Fighting series
- Harumi (NeoGeo Land): Samurai Shodown series
- Nonaka (NeoGeo Land): The King of Fighters series
- Nishi (NeoGeo World): All SNK series.
- Nori (The Lost World): Street Fighter series.
- Kana (Plaza Capcom): Darkstalkers series.
- Mika (NeoGeo Land): Capcom Arcade series.
- Yosiki (various locations): All Capcom series.
Title screen changes[edit]
- When both the SNK and Capcom versions of the game begin, the title screen features Terry and Ryu.
- When a player reaches 50% completion on their collection of cards, the SNK version changes to Nakoruru and Morrigan, while the Capcom version changes to Mai and Chun-Li.
- When a player reached 90% completion on their collection of cards, the SNK version changes to Kyo and Ken, while the Capcom version changes to Iori and Akuma.
- The title screen does not change any further at 100%, but Mobi-chan, the little mech from Hyper Dyne Side Arms which delivers a new card from your deck to your hand each turn, flies across the screen.
Linking with SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium[edit]
Linking to Neo Geo Pockets together when one has Card Fighters Clash (CFC) in it and the other has Match of the Millennium (MotM) bestows some benefits to the MotM player. The MotM player will have more secret player pieces revealed, and receive versus points. The amount of pieces revealed and points obtained is determined by the completion level of the CFC player's save file. If the CFC player has a 100% completion, every secret character in MotM will be unlocked.
Who is Mask?[edit]
Mask is actually a character that was designed for SNK's Neo Geo marketing campaign. In Japan, his name was Gemant, and his catchphrase was すごいゲームを持って帰ろう！ (Sugoi gēmu o motte kaerou!? lit. Bring home a great game!).
