Kawanakajima Conspiracy (川中島謀略戦) is the name given to the battle that takes place in the territory of Shingen Takeda and his army. It can be easily accessed with the use of Kenshin Uesugi or Kasuga of the Uesugi Army, rivals of the Takeda Army. It's a large piece of land packed with an impressive three bosses, as would be expected of an army as powerful as Shingen's.

Strategy[edit]

From the start, you are surrounded on either side by two squad leaders that drop tamatebako. Follow the western path to encounter Sasuke Sarutobi, Shingen's loyal shinobi who uses his ninjutsu arts to make the battlefield foggy. A path in the center connects this section of the map to the eastern path, making for somewhat quicker movement between them. There is also a squad leader here that drops a tamatebako.

By the gate on the eastern path is Yukimura Sanada. He can be a tricky opponent due to his speed, especially when playing a slow character; fortunately, you can completely avoid this battle if you find him too tricky by taking the western path straight to Shingen. This would require you to, of course, forfeit the tamatebako that he drops. Similarly, in the northwestern section of the map is where Sasuke can be fought. Although avoiding Sasuke may be difficult due to his close proximity to his boss, there is a way to keep Sasuke and Shingen separated.

Upon Yukimura's defeat, three messengers are dispatched to Shingen. Pursuing them shouldn't be an issue with a quick character like Ranmaru Mori or Kasuga, or with the three Wheel of Gale accessories equipped (which increase movement speed regardless of character). However, even without the quickest characters, this can be attempted with the right strategy. Pursue the messengers immediately for a chance at defeating the first; this shouldn't take long due to their low health, but the others will be trickier to catch due to this head start. Fortunately for you, a fork in the path causes them to separate; take the left-most path to the intersection, where you will be able to meet the remaining messengers and stop them before they can reach Shingen.

Boss: Shingen Takeda[edit]

Shingen is very strong, but much slower than Yukimura, making him a bit easier to tackle. He will usually attempt to use his Wind of Destiny skill, which creates a whirlwind and can be canceled if you attack him beforehand (avoid him mid-whirlwind, as he is immune even to ranged attacks once he gets going). If it isn't a whirlwind, Shingen will create a giant rock formation that can quite possibly stretch to your position, using a skill called Immovable Mountain. If you can get close enough to him as he attempts to do this skill, you can cancel it, though he will usually attempt it when you're a distance away, so dodging works best. For more information on Shingen's attack style, see his page. Defeat him to clear the stage, though if playing Kenshin or Kasuga, this battle may be continued with the Nagashino Counterattack stage.
