The End of Flesh is a cooperative mission, which pits the organic team against a team of rebellious AIs. The rebel AI team is a mirror of the organic players - each AI faction uses the same racial tech tree as each human opponent. As such, the tactic you would apply to normal races would apply to the AIs.
