You are Link. You have a destiny. You need to rediscover your purpose in this world and find out what happened to Hyrule 100 years before you woke up to a post-apocalyptic era. Your memory is blank but that's not all:
- Use Sheikah Slate to discover shrines and find out where to go.
- Go through mini dungeons to find runes to help you progress through tougher dungeons later on.
- Talk to people should you have been worn out of the main quest and decide to do the side quests which has its own rewards.
- Train a horse later on to help speed up your quest.
- Manage equipment and survive with food as those needs won't last long in your journey.
- Be aware of the cold snow or the hot lava as they both affect the heart if you don't have the right equipment for the job.
- Do the quest anyway you want. You can rush to finish the game then do other quests, or the other way around or vice versa. There's no rule on progress.
As a warning, despite the autosave, if you run out of hearts or stamina in the middle of water, you load at the last checkpoint so be prepared. It will take trial and error to get through various locations that you haven't seen before.
