Originally the Paladin class was exclusively presented as Artix's (the game's creator) avatar. Later, the Paladin shop opened up in Yulgar's Inn in Battleon to allow players to purchase Light element equipment (primarily weapons). The Paladin shop is still currently available.
With the addition of actual classes, the Paladin has become a reality. From the main screen of Battleon, click "Travel" and then on the first travel map, near the bottom you'll see a circle (just north east of Battleon) and the label "Paladin Order". Click on the circle, then click the "Train as a Paladin!" button on the left.
