Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings/Byzantines
With the Saracens, Turks and Persians, the Byzantines are one of the civilizations belonging to the Middle Eastern culture. Its major strength is its defense in their buildings and units. Its towers and other buildings have more hit points (HP) and stronger in attack. Their unique unit is the Cataphract, a Cavalry unit that has high armor, bonus damage against infantry (effective even against Pikemen).
Byzantine monks can heal 3x quicker, while Byzantine buildings have +10% LP (Lifepoints) in the Dark Age, +20% in the Feudal Age, +30% in the Castle Age and +40% in the Imperial Age. Byzantine camels, skirmishers and pikemen cost -25%. Fire triremes cause +25% damage and advancing to the Imperial Age costs -33% (about a third).
