Tips[edit]

  • Getting multiple Town Centers is recommended, as you can train settlers/villagers/courier du bois at faster rates, especially if you are the Ottomans.
  • Cards that decrease settler training time are highly recommended.
  • Forward bases can be helpful if you are planning a rush, as your soldiers will come out right near enemy territory.
  • Sending crates can help you advance in age quicker and can help with the cost of training settlers and soldiers.
  • Cards that allow you to gather faster are very helpful when trying to stock up on resources, especially in early ages.
  • Sending over a few hussars, uhlans etc. to snipe at enemy settlers is very helpful- the enemy may then use the resources they have to get new settlers, build a barracks, and train a few soldiers rather that trying to age up.
  • Trading posts are always good to have, especially on trading routes. You receive extra exp. or resources and you get to spy on your enemy if you upgrade it to stage coach.
  • Getting a spy or two out of your church allows you to view your enemy's town, army, settlers, and unguarded areas.
  • Getting the market upgrades is helpful, but if you plan to get them in age 1, you may end up aging up slower and falling succeptible to a rush.
  • If you plan to wall off your city, you should do it when you have an army to back it up. Having an army and no wall is better than having a wall and a few ouposts/blockhouses.
