  • Start button: Start/Pause Game

[edit] Virtual Keyboard for Chat and Data Entry

  • C button: Open Virtual Keyboard for Chat
  • Neutral lstick or Neutral dpad: Select Character

  • C button: Transmit Chat Message/Close Virtual Keyboard
  • T button: Back to Previous Screen

You can also use a standard USB keyboard instead of the Virtual Keyboard. Just plug the keyboard into the USB slot on the front of the PS2. Once a keyboard is plugged into the system, just type your messages on the keyboard and press Enter to transmit the message.

[edit] Blasting the Notes

The core of the gameplay is in blasting the notes as they stream by. Each stream (left, center, right) has two buttons assigned to blasting them, and they can be used in any combination. However, the following are the three recommended control sets to use.

Method 1

  • L1 button: Blast Left Note
  • R1 button: Blast Center Note
  • R2 button: Blast Right Note

Method 2

  • S button: Blast Left Note
  • R1 button: Blast Center Note
  • R2 button: Blast Right Note

Method 3

  • S button: Blast Left Note
  • T button: Blast Center Note
  • C button: Blast Right Note
