This scenario is based off the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, where a war was fought between India and Pakistan concerning the province of Kashmir. This territorial dispute occurred due to the terms of the partition of British India,

At the start of the scenario, both countries are treated to be at war with Kashmir. Within a few days, when forces of India and Pakistan claim the provinces, the leadership will sign itself over to Pakistan, and a few days later, India will declare war over Pakistan.

Objectives[edit]

The objective is to obtain at least 8 victory points. To do so, you can control all three provinces of Kashmir (Lahore, Ludhiana and Srinagar), or take control of the capital of the opposing country.

Note that attacking the enemy capital will mobilize additional units - both the enemy and your own. Exercise caution if you wish to press the attack.

Playing as India[edit]

At the start of the game, immediately move your two groups from Meerut to claim the provinces of Ludhiana and Srinagar. When war between India and Pakistan breaks out, you can then move on Lahore from two different provinces. From that position, the AI will choose not to counter attack.

Note: If you take control of Multan, Hyderabad or Peshawar, you will mobilize fresh enemy units. This will also mobilize units of your own, giving you an advantage through numbers.

Playing as Pakistan[edit]

Playing as Pakistan is more difficult. At the start, you only get to claim Lahore. Once war breaks out, you will need to make your attacks quickly. Send one group to Srinagar, then the other to Ludhiana. Despite this, the enemy still has several routes allowing attacks.

As Pakistan, you can engage units that are attacking from Meerut without triggering mobilization. In addition, if the enemy decides to station troops in Lucknow, you can easily eliminate those units by advancing on Kanpur, and closing the noose with a two-pronged attack. When the unit is eliminated, disengage to Kashmir without claiming the distant province.

Note: If you take control of Ahmadabad, Jodhpur, Bikaner or Delhi, you will mobilize fresh enemy units. This will also mobilize units of your own, but this gives India an advantage as they have more units that become unlocked. Attacking Kanpur, Lucknow or Meerut will not trigger mobilization.
