MQ Stage 33 (31)A.png
MQ Stage 33 (31)B.png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen the Katakana text of Noruma -2 (ノルマ-2) will appear above their life-hearts as two of the three Sasori or four Taka that have appeared in front of them automatically explode; the Katakana text Sutēji 31, noruma 3/1/4/2 (ステージ31, ノルマ3/1/4/2), will then appear at the top of the screen. The three-script texts Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3/1/4/2 (第1問, 残りノルマ3/1/4/2) will then appear at the top of the screen, before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying - and, if you answer any question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Sasori (or Taka) to make him explode, but if you answer a question incorrectly one of the Sasori (or Taka) will suddenly go for Scott or Stanley. Once you've answered between one and four questions correctly the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen and Scott and Stanley will proceed onward to the thirty-fourth (or thirty-second) stage of the game.

Stage 32/34[edit]

MQ Stage 34 (32)B.png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared, at the bottom of the screen, they will walk into a quicksand swamp with an Arijigoku (written in Katakana as アリジゴク) in the centre, or six more Iguanas will appear in front of them as that Katakana text Sutēji 32, noruma 5/6 (ステージ32, ノルマ5/6) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5/6 (第1問, 残りノルマ5/6) will then appear at the top of the screen, before the first question and four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly Scott and Stanley scramble up to the edge of the swamp, or repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Iguanas to make him explode - but if you answer a question incorrectly, they will be drawn into the centre or one of the Iguanas will suddenly go for them. Once you have answered five or six questions correctly the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen, and Scott and Stanley will pull themselves out of the swamp on that western path (not doing it before).

Stage 33/35[edit]

MQ Stage 35 (33)A.png
MQ Stage 25A.png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared, at the bottom of the screen, three more Kumo will appear in front of them or two more Lions will chase them up two more trees, as that Katakana text Sutēji 33, noruma 3/5 (ステージ33, ノルマ3/5) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3/5 (第1問, 残りノルマ3/5) will now appear at the top of the screen before the first question (and its four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott and Stanley will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Kumo, to make him explode, or scramble back up to the tops of their trees - but if you answer a question incorrectly, one of the Kumo will suddenly go for them or they will slide down to the feet of their trees and the Lions will scratch them. Once you have answered three or five questions correctly, the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen as the sky turns red and they drop down to the ground on the western path (again, they will not do it before).

Stage 34/36[edit]

MQ Stage 36 (34)A.png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear, at the bottom of the screen, six more Zako-Hei or two more Kumo will appear in front of them, as that Katakana text Sutēji 34, noruma 6/2 (ステージ34, ノルマ6/2) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 6/2 (第1問, 残りノルマ6/2) will now appear at the top of the screen before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Kumo or Zako-Hei, to make him explode - but if you answer a question incorrectly, one of the Zako-Hei or Kumo will throw his machete at or suddenly go for them. Once you have answered six or two questions correctly, the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen and you will be treated to the following cutscene, an eleventh in the game:

「この不死の寺院の中に、最後の宝玉があるはずです」
('Kono fushi no jīn no naka ni, saigo no hōgyoku ga aru hazudesu')

MQ Stage 37 (35).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, five more Zako-Hei will appear in front of them, as that Katakana text Sutēji 35, noruma 5 (ステージ35, ノルマ5) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5 (第1問, 残りノルマ5) will now appear at the top of the screen before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of those Zako-Hei to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly one of the Zako-Hei will throw his machete at them. Once you answer five questions correctly, the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; Scott and Stanley will now go onto the thirty-eighth (or thirty-sixth) stage as the screen cuts to a temple hall and a red square flashes up on its right side.

Stage 36/38[edit]

MQ Stage 38 (36).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, four Skeletons (written out in Katakana as スケレトンズ) will appear in front of them as the Katakana text Sutēji 36, noruma 4 (ステージ36, ノルマ4) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 4 (第1問, 残りノルマ4) will now appear at the top of the screen before the first question (and its four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question correctly, Scott or Stanley will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Skeletons, to make him explode - but if you answer a question incorrectly, one of the Skeletons will throw his sword at them. Once you have answered four questions correctly, the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will now cut back to the temple hall as the Kanji/Hiragana text Shinro wo erande kudasai (進路を選んでください) appears at the top of it. You then have ten seconds to decide which path you want to take by pressing its number's Answer Button (which are indicated by the four Kanji and Katakana texts of Keizen kagaku 計然科学, Shakai 社会, Seikatsu 生活 and Nonsekushon ノンセクション respectively) - and once you have done so, an orange square will flash up above that red one on the right screen side. This is also a second appearance for Seikatsu.

Once Scott and Stanley reappear, at the bottom of the screen, four more Will-O-Wisps will appear in front of them, or three spears will come down from above as the Katakana text of Sutēji 37, noruma 4/5 (ステージ37, ノルマ4/5), appears at the top of the screen; 3-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 4/5 (第1問, 残りノルマ4/5) will now appear at the top of the screen, before the first question (and the four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question correctly, Scott or Stanley will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Will-O-Wisps to make him explode on the first and second paths - but if you answer a question incorrectly, one of the Will-O-Wisps will suddenly go for them or the three spears will come down on top of them. Once you have answered four or five questions correctly, that Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will now cut back to the temple hall as that Kanji/Hiragana text Shinro wo erande kudasai (進路を選んでください) appears at the top of it. You then have ten seconds to decide which path you want to take, by pressing its number's Answer Button (which, like the eighteenth and twenty-seventh stages, are indicated by the four English, Kanji and Katakana texts of SF eiga SF映画, Yakyū 野球, Seibutsu 生物, and Nonsekushon ノンセクション respectively, SF again standing for Science Fiction) - and a lime-green square will flash up above that orange one on the screen's right side once you have done so.

If you answer a question correctly, Scott or Stanley will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Living Dead or Crystal Hebi to make him explode - but, if you should answer a question incorrectly, one of the Living Dead or Crystal Hebi will suddenly go for them. Once you answer five or four questions correctly, that Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア), will appear up at the top of the screen; the screen will now cut back to the temple hall as that Kanji/Hiragana text Shinro wo erande kudasai (進路を選んでください) appears at the top of it. You then have ten seconds to decide which path you want to take, by pressing its number's corresponding Answer Button (which, as on the ninth and twenty-eighth stages are indicated by the four Kanji and Katakana texts Sekai chiri 世界地理, Jiken·jiko 事件・事故, Kyūgi 球技 and Nonsekushon ノンセクション respectively) - and a pea-green square will also flash up above the lime-green one upon the right side of the screen once you make your choice.

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen five Mīra (written out in Katakana as ミーラ) or four Crystal Kaba (written in Katakana as クリスタルカバ) will appear in front of them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 39, noruma 5/4 (ステージ39, ノルマ5/4) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5/4 (第1問, 残りノルマ5/4) will then appear at the top of the screen, before the first question (and the four possible answers) appear, and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott or Stanley will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Mīra or Crystal Kaba to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly, one of those Mīra or Crystal Kaba will throw his club at or suddenly go for them. Once you've answered five or four questions correctly, the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will now cut back to the temple hall as that Kanji/Hiragana text Shinro wo erande kudasai (進路を選んでください) appears at the top of it. You then have ten seconds to decide which path you want to take, by pressing its number's Answer Button (which are indicated by those four Katakana and Kanji texts Akushon eiga アクション映画, Shōjo manga 少女マンガ, Engeki 演劇, and Nonsekushon ノンセクション respectively) - as a turquoise square will also flash up above that pea-green one located upon the right side of the screen once you have pressed any of the Answer Buttons to confirm your selection.

Stage 40/42[edit]

MQ Stage 42 (40)A.png
MQ Stage 42 (40)C.png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, they'll fall onto two slopes with two more Honorians at the bottom, or six Crystal Iguanas (written in Katakana as クリスタルイグアナズ) will appear in front of them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 40, noruma 5/6 (ステージ40, ノルマ5/6) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5/6 (第1問, 残りノルマ5/6) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question (and the four possible answers) appear, and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott and Stanley will scramble back up to the top of the slopes or repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Crystal Iguanas to make him explode - but if you answer a question incorrectly, they will slide down to the bottom of the slopes and the Honorians will burn them or one of the Crystal Iguanas will suddenly go for them. Once you have answered five or six questions correctly, that Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will then cut back to a shot of the temple hall, as a light-blue square flashes up above that turquoise one on the screen's right side. Now it is time for the fourth boss battle.

Stage 41/43[edit]

MQ Stage 43 (41).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, the area's boss (which is the final enormous four-armed statue) will appear in front of them as the three-script texts of Sutēji 41, e no nan dai, noruma 7 (ステージ41, 絵の何題, ノルマ7) appears at the top of the screen; the Kanji/Hiragana text of Tsugi no e ha nanidesu ka? (次の絵は何ですか?) will then appear at the top of the screen as the first question (and four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. As with the second stage upon the northern path, the questions will have sliding pictures above them - and once you have answered seven questions correctly, that Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen. The statue will then start to explode (causing the blue jewel to fall out of its forehead), as Guide Kakari runs in from the right side of the screen, then speaks that Hiragana/Kanji text Sā, nigemashō! (さあ、逃げましょう!), then runs off the left side of the screen with Scott (as Stanley runs off that right side); you will now be treated to the following cutscene, the first part of which will once again be identical to the one that you were shown at the end of both the second and sixteenth stages:

ノルマ2減少次のステージのノルマが2減ります
(Noruma 2 genshō-ji no sutēji no noruma ga 2 herimasu)
Bakuretsu Quiz Ma-Q Dai-Bouken intro 2.png

「これで宝玉が全部そろいたね」
('Kore de hōgyoku ga zenbu soro ita ne')
「あとは望みを...あ!」
('Ato ha nozomi wo...a!')
MQ Stage 43 (41) Cutscene 1.png

The music will suddenly change as the cutscene introduces the man who will become the game's final boss, Oyasama (written in Hiragana as おやさま):

「命が惜しければおとなしく宝玉をよこせ!!」
('Inochi ga oshikereba otonashiku hōgyoku wo yokose!!')
「貴様ら何者だ!」
('Kisama-ra nanimonoda!')
MQ Stage 43 (41) Cutscene 2.png

Scott and Stanley will then proceed to the fifth and final area which is comprised of seventeen stages; do you have enough knowledge to go all the way?
