Stage 42/44[edit]

MQ Stage 44 (42).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen the Katakana text of Noruma -2 (ノルマ-2) will appear above their life-hearts as two of the five Zako-Hei which have appeared in front of them automatically explode; the Katakana text of Sutēji 42, noruma 3 (ステージ42, ノルマ3) will then appear up at the top of the screen. The three-script texts of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3 (第1問, 残りノルマ3) will then appear up at the top of the screen, before the first question (and its three possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying - and, if you answer any question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Zako-Hei to make him explode, but if you answer a question incorrectly one of the Zako-Hei will throw his machete at them. Once you've answered three questions correctly, the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen.

Stage 43/45[edit]

MQ Stage 45 (43).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared, at the bottom of the screen, that Katakana text Sutēji 43, OX taimutoriaru (ステージ43, OXタイムトライアル) will appear up at the top of the screen; you will now have to use the first and second Answer Buttons to answer "O" (true) or "X" (false) to as many questions as you can in one minute. Once the timer has run out, two rocks will fall onto Scott and Stanley's heads, knocking them out - and you will now be treated to the following cutscene, the first part of which will be identical to that one that you had originally seen at the end of both the tenth and twentieth stages:

スコットラック1/2/3増加1Pのラックが1/2/3増窺えます
(Sukottorakku 1/2/3 zōka 1P no rakku ga 1/2/3 zō ukagaemasu)
MQ Stage 10 Cutscene 1A.png

But if the second player has the highest score at this point, that first part of text and the picture below will look like this (note that Stanley is grinning in it):

スタンリーラック1/2/3増加2Pのラックが1/2/3増窺えます
(Sutanrīrakku 1/2/3 zōka 2P no rakku ga 1/2/3 zō ukagaemasu)
MQ Stage 10 Cutscene 1B.png

「マヌケな奴らだ お前たちにはもう用はない」
('Manukena yatsurada omaetachi ni ha mō yō hanai')
MQ Stage 45 (43) Cutscene 1.png

「ここで死ぬがより、 ワハハ」
('Koko de shinu ga yori, wahaha')
MQ Stage 45 (43) Cutscene 2.png

Stage 44/46[edit]

MQ Stage 46 (44).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, two walls will close in on them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 44, noruma 5 (ステージ44, ノルマ5) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script texts of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5 (第1問, 残りノルマ5) will then appear up at the top of the screen, before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question incorrectly, the walls will crush Scott (or Stanley) - and once you have answered five questions correctly the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen, as those aforementioned walls recede back off the left and right sides of the screen. You will then be treated to the following cutscene:

「早く後を追おう. 何が悪をたくらんでるみたいだ」
('Hayaku ato wo ōu. Nani ga aku wo takuran deru mitaida')
MQ Stage 46 (44) Cutscene.png

The screen will then cut to a shot of the overworld map as a window comes down into view from the top of it and continues Scott and Stanley's progress.

Stage 45/47[edit]

MQ Stage 47 (45).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, four more Taka will appear in front of them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 45, noruma 4 (ステージ45, ノルマ4) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 4 (第1問, 残りノルマ4) will then appear at the top of the screen, before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Taka to make him explode - but if you answer a question incorrectly, one of the Taka will suddenly go for Scott (or Stanley). Once you answer four questions correctly, that Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen.

Stage 46/48[edit]

MQ Stage 48 (46).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen three more Saber Tigers will appear in front of them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 46, noruma 3 (ステージ46, ノルマ3) appears at the top of the screen; the 3-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3 (第1問, 残りノルマ3) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question and four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question correctly Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip or punch one of the Saber Tigers, to make him explode - but if you should answer any question incorrectly, one of the Saber Tigers will suddenly go for Scott (or Stanley). Once you answer three questions correctly, the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen, and Scott and Stanley will proceed to the forty-ninth (forty-seventh) stage of the game; there's still twelve more left to go.

Stage 47/49[edit]

MQ Stage 31 (29)A.png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, two more Honorians will start chasing after them, as that Katakana text Sutēji 47, noruma 5 (ステージ47, ノルマ5) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5 (第1問, 残りノルマ5) will now appear at the top of the screen before the first question and four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer incorrectly, both of the Honorians will suddenly go for Scott and Stanley - and once you have answered five questions correctly the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen, as Scott and Stanley jump into two pools of water (which will, again, only be written into the game at this point).

Stage 48/50[edit]

MQ Stage 50 (48).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, five Heat Kaba (written out in Katakana as ヒートカバ) will appear in front of them, as the Katakana text Sutēji 48, noruma 5 (ステージ48, ノルマ5) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5 (第1問, 残りノルマ5) will now appear at the top of the screen before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Heat Kaba, to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly one of the Heat Kaba will suddenly go for Scott (or Stanley). Once you answer five questions correctly the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen, and Scott and Stanley will proceed onto the fifty-first (forty-ninth) stage; there is still ten more left.

Stage 49/51[edit]

MQ Stage 51 (49).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, six more Zako-Hei will appear in front of them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 49, noruma 6 (ステージ49, ノルマ6) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 6 (第1問, 残りノルマ6) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott or Stanley will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Zako-Hei to make him explode - but, if you answer one incorrectly, one of those Zako-Hei will throw his machete at them. Once you answer six questions correctly, that Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen and you will be treated to the following cutscene (like the previous one that was shown at the end of the forty-sixth/forty-fourth stage, it only has one picture):

「火山にこんな場所があるなんて」
('Kazan ni kon'na basho ga aru nante')
「どうやらここが敵のアジトらしいな」
('Dōyara koko ga teki no ajitorashī na')
MQ Stage 51 (49) Cutscene.png

Stage 50/52[edit]

MQ Stage 52 (50).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, three more Zako-Hei will appear in front of them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 50, noruma 3 (ステージ50, ノルマ3) appears at the top of the screen; the 3-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3 (第1問, 残りノルマ3) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question and four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Zako-Hei, to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly one of those Zako-Hei will throw his machete at them. Once you answer three questions correctly, that Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will then cut to a shot of the temple hall as a red square flashes up on the right side of it, for what is a fifth and final time in this game.

Stage 51/53[edit]

MQ Stage 53 (51).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen four Heat Lions (written in Katakana as ヒートライオンズ) will appear in front of them as the Katakana text Sutēji 51, noruma 4 (ステージ51, ノルマ4) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 4 (第1問, 残りノルマ4) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question (and its four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Heat Lions, to make him explode - but if you answer a question incorrectly, one of the Heat Lions will suddenly go for them. Once you have answered four questions correctly the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will then cut back to the temple hall, as the Hiragana/Kanji text of Anata no ketsuekigata ha? (あなたの血液型は?), appears at the top of it. You'll then have ten seconds to decide which path to take by pressing its number's Answer Button (indicated by the four English/Kanji texts of A-gata A型, B-gata B型, O-gata O型, and AB-gata AB型 respectively) - and an orange square will flash up above that red one once you have done so. It is also worth noting that your choices will determine your "BLOOD TYPE" for the high-score table at the end of the game.

Stage 52/54[edit]

MQ Stage 46 (44).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, two walls will close in on them as the Katakana text of Sutēji 52, noruma 5 (ステージ52, ノルマ5) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script texts of Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5 (第1問, 残りノルマ5) will then appear up at the top of the screen, before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question incorrectly, the walls will crush Scott (or Stanley) - and once you have answered five questions correctly the Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen as those aforementioned walls recede back off the left and right sides of the screen. The screen will then cut back to the temple hall as that Hiragana/Kanji text of Anata no seibutsu ha? (あなたの性別は?) appears at the top of it; you will then have ten seconds to decide which path to take by pressing its number's corresponding Answer Button (which are indicated by the four Kanji texts Dansei 男性, Josei 女性, Chūkan 中間, and Fumei 不明 respectively). A lime-green square will also flash up above the orange one on the right side of the screen once you have done so, and it is also worth noting that your choices will determine your "gender symbol" for the high-score table at the end of the game - if a male, if a female, or ? if unknown.

Stage 53/55[edit]

MQ Stage 55 (53).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, three Goldmen (written out in Katakana as ゴールドメン) will appear in front of them as the Katakana text Sutēji 53, noruma 3 (ステージ53, ノルマ3) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3 (第1問, 残りノルマ3) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question (and its four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Goldmen to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly, one of the Goldmen will throw his sword at them. Once you have answered three questions correctly the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will then cut back to the temple hall as the Kanji/Hiragana text of Anata no umarete tsuki ha? (あなたの生まれて月は?) appears at the top of it. You'll then have ten seconds to decide which path to take, by pressing its number's Answer Button (which are indicated by the four Numeric/Kanji texts of 1-3 tsuki 1-3月, 4-6 tsuki 4-6月, 7-9 tsuki 7-9月, and 10-12 tsuki 10-12月 respectively) - and a pea-green square will flash up above that lime-green one on the screen's right side once you have done so. However, it is not known what your choices determine.

Stage 54/56[edit]

MQ Stage 56 (54).png

Once Scott and Stanley have reappeared at the bottom of the screen, four more Zako-Hei will appear in front of them, as the Katakana text of Sutēji 54, noruma 4 (ステージ54, ノルマ4) appears at the top of the screen; the 3-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 4 (第1問, 残りノルマ4) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question and four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Zako-Hei, to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly one of those Zako-Hei will throw his machete at them. Once you have answered four questions correctly, the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will then cut back to the temple hall as the Kanji/Hiragana text of Anata no umarete tsuki ha? (あなたの生まれて月は?) appears at the top of it. You will now have ten seconds to decide which path you wish to take by pressing its number's Answer Button (which are indicated by the four English/Kanji texts of 1/4/7/10 tsuki 1/4/7/10月, 2/5/8/11 tsuki 2/5/8/11月, 3/6/9/12 tsuki 3/6/9/12月, and ? respectively) - and a turquoise square will also flash up above that pea-green one upon the screen's right side, once you have done so. However, it is still not known what your choices determine.

Stage 55/57[edit]

MQ Stage 55 (53).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, three more Goldmen will appear in front of them as the Katakana text Sutēji 55, noruma 3 (ステージ55, ノルマ3) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 3 (第1問, 残りノルマ3) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer a question correctly, Scott (or Stanley) will repeatedly whip (or punch) one of the Goldmen to make him explode - but if you answer any question incorrectly, one of those Goldmen will throw his sword at them. Once you have answered three questions correctly the Katakana text of Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen; the screen will then cut back to the temple hall, as the three-script text of Kono gēmu no ganso ha? (このゲームの感想は?) appears up at the top of it. You now have ten seconds to decide which path you wish to take, by pushing its number's Answer Button (which are indicated by the four Hiragana and Kanji texts of Uma-ran うまらん, Nantomo gen en 何とも原えん, Ma omoshiroi ま面白い, and Omoshiroi 面白い respectively) - and a light-blue square will also flash up above that turquoise one upon the screen's right side once you have done so. Once again, it's not known what your choices determine.

Stage 56/58[edit]

MQ Stage 39 (37)C.png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, three more spears will come down from above, as that Katakana text of Sutēji 56, noruma 5 (ステージ56, ノルマ5) appears at the top of the screen; that three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 5 (第1問, 残りノルマ5) will then appear at the top of the screen, before the first question (and its four possible answers) appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question incorrectly the spears will come down on top of Scott and Stanley - but once you have answered five questions correctly, that Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen, as they jump into two pools of water (which will only be written into the game at this point). The screen will then cut back to the temple hall as a dark-blue square flashes up above that light-blue one on the right side, and you will be treated to the following cutscene:

「闇の魔王様、復活の準備はできました、あとはこの冠を」
('Yami no maō-sama, fukkatsu no junbi ha dekimashita, ato ha kono kanmuri wo')
MQ Stage 58 (56) Cutscene 1.png

「待て!!」
('Mate!!')
MQ Stage 58 (56) Cutscene 2.png

Stage 57/59[edit]

MQ Stage 59 (57).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, the area's boss ("Oyasama") will appear in front of them as that Katakana text of Sutēji 57, OX taimutoriaru (ステージ57, OXタイムトライアル), appears at the top of the screen; you then have to push the first and second Answer Buttons to answer "O" (true) or "X" (false), to as many questions as you can in one minute. Once that timer has run out, Oyasama will speak the three-script text of Watashi ga waru ugozaimashita. Ūgya (私が悪うございました. ウーギャッ) as he explodes and falls off the bottom of the screen - and you will then be treated to the following cutscene, the first part of which will be identical to the one that you had seen at the end of the tenth, twentieth and forty-fifth (forty-third) stages:

スコットラック1/2/3増加1Pのラックが1/2/3増窺えます
(Sukottorakku 1/2/3 zōka 1P no rakku ga 1/2/3 zō ukagaemasu)
MQ Stage 10 Cutscene 1A.png

But if the second player has the highest score at this point, that first part of text and the picture below will look like this (note that Stanley is grinning in it):

スタンリーラック1/2/3増加2Pのラックが1/2/3増窺えます
(Sutanrīrakku 1/2/3 zōka 2P no rakku ga 1/2/3 zō ukagaemasu)
MQ Stage 10 Cutscene 1B.png

「なんとか間に合ったな」
('Nantoka maniatta na')
「早くここから脱山しよう」
('Hayaku koko kara datsu yama shiyō')
MQ Stage 59 (57) Cutscene.png

The screen will then cut back to a shot of the temple hall, as that Kanji/Hiragana text Shinro wo erande kudasai (進路を選んでください) appears at the top of it; you will then have ten seconds to decide which exit to choose by pushing its number's Answer Button (which are indicated by the four Kanji/English texts of Deguchi A 出口A, Deguchi B 出口B, Deguchi C 出口C, and Deguchi D 出口D respectively). The temple walls will also flash up once you choose.

Stage 58/60[edit]

MQ Stage 30 (28)C.png
MQ Stage 9A.png
MQ Stage 31 (29)A.png
MQ Stage 46 (44).png

Once Scott and Stanley reappear at the bottom of the screen, they will walk into a room with a spiked ceiling (on exit 1), they will walk into a room which starts filling up with water (on exit 2), two more Honorians will start chasing after them (on exit 3), or two walls will close in upon them (on exit 4), as the Katakana text of Sutēji 58, noruma 7 (ステージ58, ノルマ7) appears at the top of the screen; the three-script text Dai 1-mon, nokori noruma 7 (第1問, 残りノルマ7) will then appear at the top of the screen before the first question and its four possible answers appear and the time meters start emptying. If you answer any question incorrectly the spiked ceilings will come down on top of Scott and Stanley, the water will rise to the ceilings, the Honorians will burn them, or the walls will crush them - but once you have answered seven questions correctly, that Katakana text Noruma kuria (ノルマクリア) will appear at the top of the screen as two ropes come down and lift Scott and Stanley out of the water (on exit 2), they jump into two pools of water (which will only be written into the game at this point on exit 3) or the walls recede off the left and right sides of the screen (on exit 4). You will now be treated to the ending:

「すごい! 冠を取り返したんですね」
('Sugoi! Kanmuri wo torikaeshita ndesu ne')
「どんなもんだい」
('Don'na monda i')
「「さあ早く村に返しましょ」
('Sā hayaku mura ni kaeshimasho')
MQ Ending 1.png

「えーっ!」
('Ē!')
MQ Ending 2.png

「チェッ、苦労したのに」
('Che, kurō shitanoni')
「骨折り損か!」
('Honeorizon ka!')
MQ Ending 3.png

The game will then go into high-score mode; your combined score (like in Toy Pop and Cosmo Gang: The Video) will most likely be the highest upon the cabinet to date, so you should enter your joint initials up at the top of that table with pride. Once you have done so, that Hiragana/Katakana text of Anata no rakkīanimaru ha... 'Sāberutaigā/Kaba/Wani/Raion/Iguana/Zougame/Gorira/Kumo/Sasori/Babito/Taka/Hebi' desu. (あなたのラッキーアニマルは...「サーベルタイガー/カバ/ワニ/ライオン/イグアナ/ゾウガメ/ゴリラ/クモ/サソリ/ばびっと/タカ/ヘビ」です.) will be displayed at the top of that screen, as two instances of the appropriate animal are displayed below it - and this is presumably what the month of your birth determines. The text "GAME OVER" will then appear at the top of the screen, and the game will go back into attract mode; as with Mirai Ninja, the "lucky animal" theme will continue until the end of the cycle.
