All troops come equipped with a combat knife and a pistol. All troops except the engineer have three grenades.

Assault[edit]

The Assault class is the default class automatically assigned, but can be changed at the spawn screen. The assault class carries either an assault rifle or a machine gun (depending on nationality) along with the standard knife, pistol, and grenades. Being assault works fine in most situations, but it performs best in close-quarter fighting. The only drawback with their rifle is that with the kick, you could become an AA-Assault trooper.

Scout[edit]

The Scout class is designed to give targets for artillery, and to be snipers. All scouts have a sniper rifle and binoculars along with their standard weapons. Using the binoculars is tricky, but can be very useful if you know how. The sniper rifles are devastating against small positions of infantry. Targeting soldiers who are manning machine gun outposts, in the top seat of tanks, or piloting LCVP's can get rid of enemies who are ripping through your lines. If soldiers are moving, don't bother wasting ammo, wait till they have stopped (lying on the ground is the best for headshots). A headshot is fatal, but they require two shots anywhere else.

Engineer[edit]

The engineer is one of the most enjoyable units to be in the game. With a standard rifle that is fairly accurate, Explosive Packs which can be self-triggered, landmines to take out vehicles, and a wrench with which to repair vehicles and stationary guns, the engineer can unleash an explosive wave of destruction against any enemy. Their landmines are best used in street-fighting (The Battle of Berlin's streets are narrow enough for three mines to take out any vehicle). The wrench is useful in any situation with vehicles and their Explosive Packs a basically short range grenades.

Medic[edit]

The Medic Class is a utilitarian class that is characterised by its ability to heal itself and others. The medic carries a sub-machine gun and a Med-Kit along with the standard equipment. The sub-machine gun allows it to defend itself in most situations. The medic only has to fear large explosions, artillery and the Assault class. After a skirmish, the medic will heal itself before the next encounter. This allows the medic to survive a lot longer than other troops between spawns.

Anti-tank[edit]

The anti-tank unit does what it says on the label. With either a bazooka or panzerschreck to destroy tanks or large infantry positions, they are quite devastating. However, they have very poor accuracy. If you have friendly fire on and allied troops behind the enemy position, use the grenade and spare your friends. While in street-fighting or in wide open spaces, you need an anti-tank like a hole in the head. The perform best in hilly or mountainous terrain.
