Battlefield 2: Modern Combat/Awards

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Xbox 360 rewards players with medals and ribbons that show up on their Stats Summary in the game. On the Xbox 360 these rewards double as achievements.

Ribbons

Ribbons in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat are awarded for a player's participation in online matches, most of which can be earned by additional playing, rather than skill.

Medals

Medals in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat are used to increase rank in multiplayer matches. Earning medals, in conjunction with increasing score and PPH (Points Per Hour, an average of the player's score, calculated across five hours of game play), allows the player to increase their online ranking (See Also: Ranks).
