If getting about on your feet isn't fast enough for you, there are several different vehicles available to make traveling less time-consuming.

[edit] Skateboard
Received for completing the Defend Bucky mission, the Skateboard can be chosen from your inventory like a weapon, but can also be selected and put away using the shortcut below.

[edit] Bikes
Bikes are stored in garages, similar to those in the GTA series. Each garage can only store two bikes - one which you've bought, and a BMX that you'll earn by completing Shop classes.
You can buy bikes at the bike stores in the main town from Chapter 2 onwards. The BMX will automatically be added to your garage when you pass Shop 1, and upgraded on completion of the other classes.
The garage is also used to store your scooter, which replaces the bought bike.

The go-kart is unlocked by completing all races at the Carnival, and then completing all the go-kart street races. It is the fastest vehicle in the game at 80 Kph.

The scooter can be bought at the Carnival in exchange for 75 tickets. It is the third fastest vehicle in the game at 55 Kph.

[edit] Lawnmower
The lawnmower is mostly used to do detentions and to earn money. However, at the end of one of the last missions, you can drive the lawnmower throughout the streets. You cannot get it back or store it. It is the slowest vehicle in the game at just 20 Kph.
