Boss: Vampire Bat[edit]
The Vampire Bat can be a very tricky boss at first. It flies around attempting to bump into Richter, and is almost impossible to hit without jumping, which leaves Richter vulnerable.
When hit, it splits into a chain of several smaller bats that fly around in a line to attack Richter. Aside from this, it does not actually have a real attack.
The vampire bat can be harmed when it has split into smaller bats, but you must be careful not to get hit yourself. The small bats can hit you multiple times if you get cornered, which is very easy to do if you're not careful.
When the bat's health is reduced to zero, it will revert to its large form and disintegrate, shooting out several small bats as a final attack. To avoid it, stand on the high platform on the right, or jump over them if you can't get there.
