The castle halls[edit]

Be very careful not to fall down in the room with bone towers and Medusa heads. Falling down will not kill you, but it will transport you to Stage 4', thereby locking you into the worst ending.

Secrets[edit]

  • 1-Up crystal: in the area right after the water area, in the wall at the extreme right.
  • Passage to stage 4': in the area with column tops and pits, fall into any pit. If you do, you will miss both Maria and Annet.
  • Key: after the area with column tops and pits, in one of the candles.

Boss: Dullahan[edit]

Dullahan wields a dangerously large spear that can make him tricky to approach without getting poked. Stand as far away as possible while still being able to hit him.

He has three attacks.

His first attack is to jump at Richter, attempting to stab him. To avoid it, simply walk towards him. But be aware that he will instantly turn around, potentially hitting you with his spear.

His second attack is to slam his spear into the ground, creating several large spikes that move towards Richter. Run away and get to high ground until they disappear.

His third attack is to slam the ground, causing rocks to fall from the ceiling. He telegraphs this attack by throwing his head into the air. The rocks are small but plentiful, and you may risk getting knocked into the aforementioned spear if you get hit.

Upon death, Dullahan will throw his head into the air, and it will explode into several medium-sized projectiles. It's tricky to pull off, but the best way to avoid it is to attempt to stand between them.
