The iPod is a successful line of portable MP3 players by Apple. The first-generation iPod, released on October 23, 2001, included a Breakout clone called Brick, and additional games were included in later revisions. On September 12, 2006, Apple started selling games through the iTunes Store which were playable on the fifth-generation iPod.

Apple's latest MP3 player, the iPod touch, runs the same operating system as the iPhone and runs the same games. Games for previous iPods do not work on the iPod touch.
