Sprint is a series of six racing arcade games, which were released by Atari, between 1976 and 1986; they all employ an overhead view for their tracks.

  • Sprint 2 (1976): The inceptive title in the series was developed by Kee Games for Atari and was more common than all its successors put together.
  • Sprint 4 (1977): The second title in the series was developed directly by Atari and was housed in a cocktail cabinet (as opposed to an upright one).
  • Sprint 8 (1977): The third title in the series was the first game to ever allow eight players to play at once; there was also a 'tag and chase' variation.
  • Sprint 1 (1978): The fourth title in the series was an update of the original (developed by Kee Games) with removal of the second-player capability.
  • Super Sprint (1986): The fifth, and first 16-bit, title in the series was released eight years after the fourth one, and ran on Atari System 2 hardware.
  • Championship Sprint (1986): The final title in the series also ran upon Atari System 2 hardware and allowed three players to play simultaneously.
