In Children of Mana, you have a choice of only four weapons with which to wreak mass mayhem. However, there are different types of the same weapon, and you can only equip that weapon once you have reached a high enough level for your particular character. For example, while Wanderer can equip an Iron Sword at level 7, Poppen has to be at level 9 to equip the same weapon. The level requirements for each character to equip a certain weapon is represented under their corresponding picture in the table.
