A box can be found under the fallen tree on this gem path.

Here, the game starts to get a little tougher. You have to go up the river by jumping on logs, leaves, and water lilies without falling into the water. Beware of carnivorous plants: the lighter ones (red in the N. Sane Trilogy remake) will swallow you if you stay on top of them for too long, while the dark ones (purple in the remake) open and close at regular intervals. Also watch out for flying fish, which come out of the water.

There is a Tawna bonus round in this level. It consists of stacks of boxes that Crash can bounce on to clear them. If a stack is too high for Crash to reach, the topmost box can be spun into.

Getting the gem[edit]

To get a clear gem in this level, you'll need to first get the orange gem from Generator Room. Only then can you reach the last boxes. One of them is about halfway through, under the fallen tree that obscures it from view. Jump on the gems to reach it. The others can be accessed using the gem path at the very end of the level, next to the exit portal. Make it to the end of the path to destroy the boxes and find alternate exit portal.

Relic[edit]

Below are some tips for clearing the time trial with a time good enough to obtain a relic:

  • At some points in this level, you will have no choice but to wait for the leaves as they slowly float across the water. Try to make big jumps off leaves rather than wait for them to reach land.
  • When climbing the mossy fallen trees, make frequent hops in order to avoid slowing down.
  • Spin away any fish that may fly into the path.
  • Jump onto the purple plants even if they indicate that they're about to snap; you should have enough time to do a quick hop on them.
