You receive this side quest when you get to the office right after finding your gear. Go out the window and head down to the bottom of the cargo containers to find the pod whose life support system is flashing red. If you activate it, it will show a hologram of the battery it needs. You will find the battery behind the doors on the east side of the pod bay. Move the crate out from the bottom of the pile, then crawl in underneath and move another crate to reveal the battery and a reload speed upgrade. Take the battery back to the stasis pod and insert it into the life support system to complete the side-mission. Besides a proenergy pack on the other side of the pod bay, there's not much else to do, so take the elevator near where the battery was back up to the office to continue.
