Sunset Shore

Sunset Shore is the first level that is entirely in silhouette. This level is initially inaccessible, but you can unlock it by buying a key from Cranky Kong's shop for 20 banana coins.

Points of interest[edit]

  • Since the entire level is in silhouette, it's a bit harder to see enemies as they approach. Also, this level introduces a new enemy that disguises itself as a bush, popping out and running towards you once you get close. Be ready to jump over any bush that might be a disguised enemy.
  • You will come across several tilted platforms. Pound the ground underneath these platforms to straighten them temporarily, then jump and collect whatever is above.

K-O-N-G letters[edit]

  • K: After puzzle piece #1, continue right until you come across the K block buried in the ground. Pound on top of the pit to break through and grab the letter.
  • O: On a narrow bridge, you'll find the O block suspended over a tilted platform. Straighten it out and jump up to the block.
  • N: After puzzle piece #2, backtrack to the right until you find the N block, which you can grab by jumping off the ledge to the left.
  • G: The final letter is in a pit underneath an arc of bananas and a single heart. Ground-pound the pit and drop in.

Puzzle pieces[edit]

  1. From the very beginning, move left into a wall to reveal the first piece.
  2. Shortly after the first and only checkpoint, stand on an elevated platform underneath a sun symbol. The ground below you will crumble, dropping you down to the next puzzle piece.
  3. After the N block, continue right until you find a spinning circle of bananas. Instead of jumping on the ledge, move right into a secret alcove, where the third piece lies.
  4. When you reach a set of two tilted platforms, straighten them out and quickly jump to the top one. Jump from there to find the puzzle piece.
  5. Near the end, you will come across two stone blocks stacked on top of each other. You can ground-pound these to get to the exit, but before you do that, use them to jump onto the statue's head to the right. Continue right and jump up into a rounded alcove to find the final piece.
