Locating the Zone entrance[edit]

You're down to one very last piece of the laser gun to find. And you'll find it in the basement, closer to the front of the house. Interestingly, this zone is located in a misleading place. In the process of looking for it, you may wind up searching down a dead-end of the basement hallway. At the very least, you'll find some items and waste a little time. The zone entrance is actually easier to find than it might appear.

Room C[edit]

You will begin your search back in Room C, the one you had to visit in order to reach the first Zone by accessing hidden room a. This time however, you should explore the north wall a bit and hit it until you create a hole in the wall that will allow you to access the ladder which leads to the basement below.

Hidden room c[edit]

Hidden room c contains a couple of features of interest. The East wall has a door that leads to Room Q. The South wall is hiding a potion in the closet. The West wall has a supply of grenades, but it has one other secret. If you hit the wall in just the right spot, you can create an entrance to Room R. The question becomes, which room should you investigate first?

The dead end[edit]

Room R[edit]

It may seem very tempting to explore Room R because it was hidden, while the entrance to Room Q was right out in the open. However, while you can collect a potion and machine gun ammo from this room, exploring the rest of the sequence of rooms in this hallway will yield little more than a few grenades. Ultimately, you will have to retrace your steps and return to Hidden room c. To explore the rest of the hallway, exit through the door along the South wall.

Room S[edit]

All that you will find in Room S is a supply of grenades. Although it is unnecessary, you can create a hole in the West wall to access Room T, which can be accessed just as easily through the hallway.

Room T[edit]

Room T is incredibly similar to Room S. All it has is some grenades, and a hole that you can punch in the East wall to access room S. Retrace your steps to find the zone.

To the Zone[edit]

Room Q[edit]

Adjacent to Hidden room c, you will find more machine gun ammo as well as a life restoring potion. Collect them both, and then face the South wall, and pass through the door to the hallway beyond.

Room P[edit]

At last, you've made it to the last room in the basement. You can find more grenades if you hit the frame on the East wall. But what's this? If you face the north wall, you'll see a door, but the Zone Detector is not blinking. However, if you turn around and face the South wall, you will notice that the detector is blinking now. The entrance to the zone has been placed rather untraditionally along the southern wall. Open the closet and head inside.

Into Zone 10[edit]

While Zone 10 is challenging, it offers little in the way of surprises. It starts out with very few enemies. The first enemies that you will encounter actually are two winged demons and a large beast. You can avoid most of their attacks by walking along the floor, but you may want to be prepared to toss a grenade by the time the third winged demon arrives. Eventually bats will start to appear on a regular basis. When you reach the overhead bridge, red heads will fall from the top of the screen and scramble left or right across the floor.

Most of the second half of the zone contains water. Like other watery zones before this, you will have to navigate your way from pool to pool while avoiding the fish that inhabit the water, and the bats that inhabit the sections of sky above, while leaping over small columns of land. Use your gun if you have plenty of ammo or your health is low, otherwise stick to your knife.

Boss[edit]

The boss of the tenth zone appears at first to be a ball of bones. However, one shot from your gun will cause the bones to spread outward in a circle and reveal a skull on in the inside. The bones will only remain spread out for so long, and then they will surround the skull and hide it once more. Because of the motion that the boss takes, you will find it easier to shoot at it when it is level with the bridge, but that will take the exposed skull up into the ceiling making it difficult to hit.

While the skull is exposed, you might be able to shoot at it and do a bit more damage to it, but it's difficult because of the way the bones spread out and position themselves around the skull. It is not necessary to hit the skull directly, as the boss will take damage even when the bones completely surround it. Eventually, it will take enough damage to be completely destroyed. You can collect the tenth and final laser gun piece when it is defeated, and you can collect the 100 HP restoring potion at any time you like.
