[edit] Round 1

The first round does not offer a lot of choices when it comes to reaching the dragon. You pretty much have to choose between the high path and the low path, and they are relatively similar since they both have three room guardians, all of which you must defeat. The final dungeon at point c contains the only special item of significance, the Fireball Special scroll.

[edit] a

There's no trick to this dungeon. Just continue to run forward and defeat each room guardian as you encounter them.

[edit] b

This dungeon is nearly as simple as dungeon a. However, it contains drops which you must helplessly fall down. Clear the tunnels out of any monsters before falling, and watch out for enemies when you land.

[edit] c

Items:
This is the first dungeon that offers you a choice of rooms, and in order to reach the top room, you must master the double jump. Since you don't know which room the Fireball Special scroll is in, it would be best to reach the top room, and drop down to the bottom if you haven't found it yet.

[edit] Round 2

The second round is only a bit more complicated than the first. Once again, your first choice in paths makes little difference, as a and b are similar. Be sure to find the rejuvenating potion at point c. The next choice is much more important. There's a life extending mushroom at point d, and a Sceptre at point e. The Sceptre is needed to rescue Celia, but you can find another one in the third round, so go for the mushroom.

[edit] a

In this dungeon, you literally fall into two of the guardians' rooms. Be prepared to fight as soon as you arrive!

[edit] b

This dungeon introduces the ropes which you must climb in order to reach the higher ledges up above and continue on. Other than that, it's fairly simple

[edit] c

Items:
Somewhere in this dungeon is the first life restoring potion for you to collect. If you find yourself low on health, be sure to check each room and defeat the guardians in order to find it. It's usually worth the effort.

[edit] d

Items:
Not only will you find a valuable life restoring potion, but you will also find an equally valuable life extending mushroom. And the best part is, you don't have to hunt them down, you can't miss them.

[edit] e

Items:
You can short cut your way out of this dungeon and head straight to the exit after one room guardian fight, but if you're looking for the Sceptre so you can avoid needing to collect it in the third round, you should continue to look for it, even if it means double jumping into the room that lies all the way at the top.

[edit] Round 3

With far more paths to choose from, the third round involves a fair bit of strategy. Without knowing what items can be collected where, no one path may seem better than the rest. However, having such knowledge can help you pick a path better suited to your goals. If rescuing Celia is important to you and you didn't collect the Sceptre from Round 2, you'll definitely want to take the lower d-e-f path. If you already have the Sceptre, and don't mind passing up the shield, consider the a-b-f path for an extra mushroom. However, if you don't mind skipping Celia, and would rather have offensive power, you'll want to take the a-c-f path for a chance at the Super Sword.

[edit] a

Items:
Dungeon a can be one of the most confusing yet, with endless hallways that wrap around. Continue to aim for the top of the dungeon, and you will find the exit eventually. Be on the lookout for a potion.

[edit] b

Items:
Although this dungeon is literally straightforward, there are a number of valuable items to collect in here, including a potion and a mushroom. Of course, you choose the top path at the expense of collecting other items instead.

[edit] c

Items:
You most likely chose the middle path if you were in search of the power boosting Super Sword. But you'll have your work cut out for you, as it must be collected from the very top room, and there are five challenging room guardians for you to destroy before you can even attempt the double jump to the top. If you miss it, you'll have a long fall to ponder your failure.

[edit] d

Items:
In this dungeon, you can actually lay claim to the shield, but doing so will force you to relinquish the Sceptre if you collected it in the previous round. You'll have a chance to change your mind in the next dungeon, so don't worry if you pick it up.

[edit] e

Items:
This dungeon has the same formation of dungeon b; five guardian room straight in a row. Only in one of these rooms, you'll have the chance to collect the Sceptre. If you don't yet have one, this is your last chance to collect it before you beat the dragon, if you want to catch a glimpse of Celia!

[edit] f

Items:
Whether you collected all of the valuable items in dungeon b, or took a different route, you'll have the opportunity to collect those same items before you finish off the last dungeon and fight with the third dragon. Avoid discovering the exit if you want to explore, or the Cave Shark will come after you!
