No matter which path you choose, you will have no choice but to enter through location a. Be on the lookout for the two special items it hides, the Fireball Special scroll and a potion. Since you're just starting out, your health should not be in jeopardy, but look for the potion just in case.
If you choose to take the high path, you can locate another Fireball Special scroll to add to your arsenal, and not just one, but two potions to improve your health. You should definitely be able to escape this dungeon with a full health bar, and you can opt to exit early after just one guardian.
Although there are only five guardian rooms, the true danger of this dungeon lies in its long twisting hallways which offer you little defence against the inhabitants. The prize for taking the top path comes in the form of a life extending mushroom, but avoid drinking the poisonous red vial at all costs.
It's hard to find any reason to visit location d, compared to the alternatives like c and f. But if you do happen along this way, carefully seek out the Potion, while avoiding the Poison.
Compared to dungeons you may have visited by this time, this one will appear very simple and straightforward. But don't forget that the room guardians grow stronger and require more hits to defeat than before, so don't take this dungeon's layout for granted. You can't fail to find the Mushroom and Potion that await you along the way.
This dungeon is a veritable treasure trove of special items, including the elusive Crown which can be used to get a better reward when you next rescue Celia. The big danger here is actually in discovering the dungeon exit too soon, which can summon the Cave Shark. It is possible to beat the Cave Shark and stop him from gnawing at you, but you'll lose a lot of health in the process!
It's almost impossible to not stumble upon a special item in this dungeon. But with two exits, it means you're that much more likely to discover one of them and trigger the cave shark. Make sure you find that Crown if you didn't collect one from the previous round, and you wish to rescue Celia.
This dungeon location offers you a rare opportunity to collect a defence improving Shield. But remember, you can't carry a Shield and the Crown at the same time, so if you touching the Shield will cause you to lose the Crown if you collected it. You'll have to double jump in order to climb out of the rooms to the corridors above which lead to the exit.
Dungeon c has a lot of rooms, and comparatively fewer special items to offer. The Fireball Special scroll is a nice item to have when you're about to go up against the dragon. Once you find what you're looking for, don't waste a lot of time here; find the exit and get out.
Although you can find the Sceptre in dungeon f, and nearly as easily, it would foolish to pass up such an easy opportunity to collect this important item. In addition, you can grab life extending mushroom on your way to the exit.
You may scoff at the meagre two potions that this seven room dungeon has to offer, but don't take these health restoring vials for granted. As the enemies you encounter get tougher, it becomes much harder to make it through the dungeons unscathed. Search for these items without going so far out of your way that you endure more damage than you can potentially heal.
In a bit of irony, this dungeon is nearly identical to dungeon d. It offers the same items, and forces you to go through the exact same number of guardian rooms in order to reach the exit. Still, if you're lucky enough to collect both mushrooms from the dungeons of this round, your health will be well situated for the more advanced levels to come.
