This is a bonus feature exclusive to the GBC and SNES versions.

Pachisi (a.k.a. Sugoroku in Japanese) is a board game where you move from a starting tile to one designated as the finish. On the way to the finish there are many obstacles and positive bonuses. You need a Pachisi Ticket to play.

Rules[edit]

At the start you will receive a set amount of dice on each track. For example you will get 10 dice for the first track and 70 for the fifth track.

When it is your turn, you can roll a die (if you haven't used them all yet), look around the map, check your attributes, or quit playing Pachisi.

Rewards

After you reach the goal you can receive a wonderful prize. Also note that the game board also has some treasure chests, cupboards, and pots that can be looted one time. There are five tracks that can be reached by finding their location in the overworld and in Alefgard. Each track is harder than the previous ones. If you get the Gold Pass by acquiring 100 TinyMedal/Small Medals, you can play the tracks an unlimited number of times.

Purple tiles[edit]

You start the game here.

When you reach the goal tile, you finish the game and are allowed to grab special treasure.

On the fourth track there is another goal which is marked with a key.

This tile will take away a chunk of your MP (up to 25%).

This tile will reduce your MP to zero!

Return you back to the "Start" tile.

What happens on this tile is random. You may receive money, fight a battle, raise or lower a stat, change a character's personality, etc.

The character's stats will be adjusted, positively or negatively. First, roll the die to determine which stat will be changed (1-Strength, 2-Agility, 3-Stamina, 4-Wisdom, 5-Luck or 6-HP). Then roll a second die that will determine how much you will receive or lose, the third roll determines if the stat is raised or lowered (1-3 results in a reduction of that amount, 4-6 results in an addition of that amount).

Yellow tiles[edit]

Yellow tiles represent locations of treasure. You will get a single item from one of these. The next time you land on it, it will be empty.

Green tiles[edit]

On terrain tiles you may get a monster encounter. On forest and mountain tiles the encounter-rate is higher. If there is no encounter, you may search the tile. Results include getting a monster encounter, finding gold or items, or even opening a trapdoor.

On these tiles you can sleep for a big price.

Here you can buy stuff. Some shops have things you can't get anywhere else.

These force you to take a certain path. You can't use the other paths that are available.

The staircase tiles allow you to go up or down a level.

The door-like tile will drop you down a level, which is often outside the game. This will cause you to lose the Pachisi Track game and you will have to start it all over again. On later, multi-floored tracks, this will just drop you to a lower board.

The warp tile brings you to another tile, often required to reach the goal.

Red tiles[edit]

If you land on one of these, then you have to move forward as many tiles as the number displayed on the tile (1-6).

The Amount of Dice you can roll will be added (1-5).

You will receive money (50-5000).

Restore your character's HP and MP completely.

Special tiles[edit]

This will damage your character for up to 25% of your current HP.

Enters a monster encounter based on your character's level.

Blue tiles[edit]

If you land on it, then you have to move back so much tiles as it stand on tile (1-6).

The Amount of Dice you can roll will be reduced (1-3).

The Amount of Money you have will be reduced (50-3000).

Pachisi Track 01[edit]

The first Track is between Romaly and Kanave.

As you enter it, a man will fall down from the Game. Go right and talk with the hooded man. He mention a hole over the "podest". Step on it and check the ground for a Token / Pachisi Ticket. That will be your entrance ticket if you don't have one yet. Go south and up the stairs. Talk to the man near the Start tile to start the game. You will then be given 10 turns to complete the game.

Pachisi Track 02[edit]

The second Track is between Ashalam and Desert Shrine.

Check the middle of the left Blue-tile Ring for a TinyMedal / Small Medal and go up. On this Track you are given 22 turns to complete the game.

Pachisi Track 03[edit]

The third is between Castle of Dragon Queen and Shrine Jail and can be reached once you got the ship. Go east from Noaniels with the ship along the coast until you see a blocked river. Enter the land east of it. South is the Castle of Dragon Queen. Go southwest of it to a cave where the third track is.

As you enter it, search both grass patches for a Token / Pachisi Ticket and a TinyMedal / Small Medal on the bottom right of the top left grass patch. "Seek Out", a Thief skill, will help you to find where exactly it is. Go up, but don't start playing yet. Instead go in southwest corner and search there for another TinyMedal / Small Medal. Now you can start playing Pachisi. You will be given 20 turns to complete the game, but you have to play at last three times to get all treasure on the track.

Pachisi Track 04[edit]

The entrance in the well to Pachisi Track.

This track is found in the well of Kol, after you enter it go downstairs and search all three stars for three Token / Pachisi Ticket. Go back up and another stairs up. Go right along the path and check the left grass patch near the -500 tile for a Token / Pachisi Ticket. Now go left from the stairs until you reach the Flowerbeet. Search there for a TinyMedal / Small Medal. Go downstairs and then go north right of the stairs and search the grass at the right corner for another Token / Pachisi Ticket. Now you can begin to play and you need 25 turns to complete it.

Pachisi Track 05[edit]

It will appear in Zipangu's well after you defeat Divinegon/God Dragon and asked for a Pachisi Track. Return to Zipangu and go down the well. Search in the middle there for a Starry / Starry Ring. Now enter the fifth and last Pachisi Track. It's also the biggest of all as you will soon notice. Go north and upstairs. You are now near the Start point, but ignore that for now and go upstairs again.

Go on the other side of the room and search the tiles surrounded by flower for a Life / Life Ring and AGLScarf / Gale Bandana. You will also meet the real Himiko here who got swallowed by Orochi. Now you can start the game and you are given 70 turns to complete the game.
