Observatory[edit]

Rules of Common Ground
Welcome, brother... you are no longer dreaming, and at last, distant traveler, you are here. A test of mind, mettle and magic await you before you leave this chamber... and then, we will see you on the other side.
Principles
Within each man, there is a magic which passes away and back into the soil when he has spent his days upon this Earth. So it is that this energy, this life magic, comes back to those born of the earth anew. It is these native powers of the earth that we, as druids, have learned to harness and control the elements, can mix and weave a magic unlike any other. Use your amulet to gain a magic appreciation of all the earth's powers and have the mind's power to control them.
Legacy of the Druids
Four islands within the world of Navan. Each island a testament to its native element and each Druid upon each island the supreme master of the element's control. For Astor, there is earth; for Curak, there is fire; for Havnar, there is water and Lawson claims the air. To learn of the elements is to drink full of each man's well.

Principles of Space Travel
(Ground level, top left case)
As man glanced toward the heavens, it was then that he saw in the nighttime sky the brilliant stars and worlds inknown. Very early on in his evolution, he ought to reach these stars yet never succeeded. This millennium, though, the Druids of the islands will catch a glipse of the stars and control all that is beyond. One thing, thus far, we have learned: Our vessel will require a system of guidance on its long journey. Perhaps magnetizing that which comes from deep in the ground will allow us to find our true direction.
Not So Universal Truths. By Daniel Sherry
(Ground level, bottom left case)
There are many truths that are completely universal and many falsehoods that also apply to all. In thenext thousand or so pages, we will explore the not so universla truths. These are truths that will only apply to a select few in our population. One of the most important truths is not to kill small woodland creatures on Thrusdays. This really only applies to those who feel they must kill small woodland creatures on any day of the week, particularly on Thursdays. Of course, killing in itself is generally wrong, but if I said you just shouldn't kill, then that might be construed as a universal truth fro which I am attempting to shy away.
Elemental Magic
(left screen, bottom left case)

Old World Relics
(left screen, top right case; click on the top of the case where the cursor turns orange; it is on the back side of the case)
The stone circle upon the Common Ground is perhaps the oldest known relic of our ancient Druidic world. The workings of the circle itself have never been entirely understood, yet scholars agree it is powered by an energy source from at the center of the earth. there same scholars have sought to decipher the writing to find the hidden meaning with the words carved into stone. There are other circles; on one, "East," it is agreed, is quite clear. Whether this direction is to be answered literally or within an obscure rite is not known, although the former seems most likely.

Notes on Fuel Mixture

With the vessel complete, those in the science labs sought some way to power her. Although the Druids had infinite power, they could not chance theirs against the unknown universe they were facing.
