As you make your way through the game, collect every Tech Orb you can find to upgrade your equipment. Just before the boss fight at the end of Chapter 2, Trip will tell you she can upgrade your equipment and an option to go into Trip's Shop will appear at the bottom of the Command Menu.

Combat

Fighting Fit

Purchase all Combat Upgrades.

These upgrades are all to enhance your melee fighting abilities.

Upgrade	Cost	Description
Wide Attack Upgrade	45,000	Increases stagger duration of enemies hit by the Wide Attack. Enemies will now become staggered for much longer.
Stun Charge Upgrade	42,500	Increases the charge of electricity on the Stun Charge Attack to affect multiple enemies. Stun Charge attacks now have an area effect and enemies hit will become stunned for much longer.
Focused Attack	60,000	Monkey will channel the staff's energy into one massive attack! Press ++ when the staff glows after landing multiple attacks in quick succession.
Counter Attack	45,000	A powerful counter attack that can change the flow of any fight. Press the moment Monkey successfully blocks an attack.
Evade Attack	50,000	Evade behind an enemy and then attack them. Press during an evade. Timing changes the type of Evade Attack performed.
Combat Awareness	5,000	Displays enemy combat states on Monkey's HUD. Attacking enemies glow RED, blocking enemies glow BLUE, and vulnerable enemies glow YELLOW.

Health

Tough as They Come

Purchase all Health Upgrades.

The two types of health upgrades are extending the amount of Monkey's health and giving him regeneration powers. You must purchase the levels of each upgrade in order, and they get better (and more expensive) until they max out.

1. Health Extension: Increases Monkey's total health.
2. Health Regen: Monkey's health will regenerate over time until full.

Health Extension 1	20,000	Monkey now has 25% more health.
Health Extension 2	32,500	Monkey now has 50% more health.
Health Extension 3	50,000	Monkey now has 75% more health.
Health Extension 4	65,000	Monkey now has twice as much health.
Health Regen 1	60,000	Monkey's health will now increase slowly over time.
Health Regen 2	72,500	Monkey's health will now increase over time.
Health Regen 3	90,000	Monkey's health will now increase quickly over time.

Shield

Shielded from Harm

Purchase all Shield Upgrades.

Shield upgrades improve your shield. You can purchase upgrades to increase the rate the shield recharges and increase its resistance to projectile fire and melee attacks. You must purchase the upgrades in one of the three areas in order.

1. Shield Recharge: Reduces the time the shield takes to recharge.
2. Shield Strength: Increases the number of shots Monkey's shield can withstand.
3. Block Strength: Increases the number of strikes Monkey can block before taking damage.

Shield Recharge 2	22,500	Monkey's shield now regenerates twice as fast.
Shield Strength 1	20,000	Monkey's shield can now absorb more projectile fire.
Shield Strength 2	30,000	Monkey's shield can now absorb 75% more projectile fire.
Shield Strength 3	50,000	Monkey's shield is now more than twice as strong.
Block Strength 1	20,000	Monkey can now block 25% more strikes.
Block Strength 2	30,000	Monkey can now block 50% more strikes.
Block Strength 3	50,000	Monkey can now block 75% more strikes.

Staff

Check My Weapon

Purchase all Staff Upgrades.

These upgrades concern the projectile capabilities of your staff. Here you can increase your ammo capacity, shot strength and add special attacks to your ammo. Each level in the six paths must be purchased in order if there is more than one:

1. Fire Rate: Increases Monkey's firing rate.
2. Ammo Increase: Increases the maximum ammo Monkey can carry.
3. Stun Time: Increases the stun duration of enemies hit by a Stun Blast.
4. Stun Effect: Causes Stun Blasts to explode, affecting multiple enemies with one shot.
5. Plasma Penetration: Plasma Blasts go through enemies and can hit others with one shot!
6. Plasma Penetration: Doubles (level 1) or quadruples (level 2) the damage a Plasma Blast does to an enemy!

Fire Rate 2	12,000	Monkey can now fire twice as fast.
Ammo Increase 1	10,000	Monkey can now carry 15 stun and 12 plasma ammo.
Ammo Increase 2	20,000	Monkey can now carry 20 stun and 15 plasma ammo.
Ammo Increase 3	35,000	Monkey can now carry 25 stun and 20 plasma ammo.
Stun Time 1	15,000	Enemies are now stunned for 25% longer.
Stun Time 2	27,500	Enemies are now stunned for 50% longer.
Stun Time 3	45,000	Enemies are now stunned for twice as long.
Stun Effect	22,500	The Stun Blast now explodes on impact and can affect multiple enemies at once.
Plasma Penetration	35,500	Each Plasma Blast can now pass through multiple enemies.
Plasma Damage 1	42,500	The Plasma Blast now does double the amount of damage.
Plasma Damage 2	65,000	The Plasma Blast now does four times as much damage.
