This quest begins when you leave the Tops Casino after finishing Ring-a-Ding-Ding!. Vulpes Inculta will approach you, inform you that Caesar wishes to meet you, and give you the Mark of Caesar, which lets you travel in Legion territory without being attacked. Cottonwood Cove will appear on your map as your next destination. If Boone is in your party, you must dismiss him before you go or he will shoot the Legion and give you bad reputation with them.

Cottonwood Cove[edit]

Before talking to the man at the docks to proceed, there are a couple things of interest in Cottonwood Cove. There is a Sarsaparilla Star Cap in the ladies bathroom, and Sexy Sleepwear in Aurelius of Phoenix's office.

Caesar's Camp[edit]

Upon arrival, all of your weapons removed, but you can keep your holdout weapons if you want. Make your way up to Caesar's tent, and speak to him. He will tell you about a bunker beneath the camp with the marking of the Lucky 38 casino, and ask you to destroy it. If you did not reclaim the chip from Benny, Caesar will return it to you, saying that they found him trying to sneak into the bunker. He will give you the choice of how to deal with him, which will be done later.

Part One[edit]

When you arrive at the bunker, you will regain all of your weapons. Putting the Platinum Chip in the computer will reveal that the bunker is actually a Vault. Inside, there is a large computer that Mr House is connected to, and he will tell you what the chip is for and what Victor's purpose was. He will ask you to upgrade the computer's security protocol, and tell you that you will have to fight your way there as he has no control over the security.

The Vault is full of robots, from Turrets to Protectrons to Sentry Bots. Once downstairs, if you through the door there will be three computers, two of which are locked and can disable the Turrets and Protectrons if you have 50-75+ science. Further down the hall there is a door that can be opened if you have 60 repair, which lets you disable the Sentry Bots.

In the next room are four Protectrons and generators. Kill the Protectrons, and destroy the generators by shooting at them. This will set off the Vault's security system and release a lot of radiation. You can run past the Sentry Bots that have been released and get to the exit before you are killed by radiation.

There are two options to complete this section of the quest. The first is to sabotage the generators in the plant by firing on them, although this will lock you out of the The House Always Wins quest series. If you want to support Mr. House, locate the console and insert the Platinum Chip; Caesar will believe the task is complete.

Upon leaving the Vault you will have your weapons removed again.

Part Two[edit]

Caesar will now tell you that he needs Mr House to be killed. Go to the Lucky 38. Using a Stealth Boy before entering will make this section easier, as will stocking up on Pulse Grenades. Go to the top floor - there will be five hostile Securitrons in here so attack them with your Pulse Grenades, or any weapon with armor-ignoring bullets. There is a computer in here that opens up the antechamber where Mr House lies. Use the computer there to open up his pod and speak to him. You have three options here - killing him outright, disconnecting him from the mainframe and leaving him to die, or putting him back, which will end up killing him from infection anyway. Return to Caesar.

Part Three[edit]

Caesar wants the Boomers' help for when he attacks the Hoover Dam. You need to have the Boomers at Idolised, and this has a quest of its own, Volare!. You could also kill the two leaders of the Boomers. As always, talk to Caesar once finished.

Part Four[edit]

The next step is to send an offer of allegience to the White Glove Society. There are a few ways this part can play out.

After learning about the Society, you have the option to return to Caesar and tell him that they do not want his allegience. That will end this section and is the quickest way of doing so.

Otherwise, the idea is that you have to get evidence of their cannibalism so Caesar can blackmail them. Talk to Marjorie, and then Mortimer. Mortimer will give you the key to the kitchen, where Ted Gunderson is locked in the freezer. You can let him out or kill him.

If you kill him, you have to frame his father. This is done by going to his penthouse and planting blood samples there. There are mercenaries there with shotguns to stop you, but once the blood has been planted, talk to the Securitrons outside and Gunderson's father will be arrested. Talking to Mortimer twice after this to get confirmation of their cannibalism and then confirm your allegiance by talking to Marjorie.

Freeing Gunderson means you have to get a replacement for the Society to eat. Once you have, talk to Mortimer and Marjorie to confirm the allegiance.

Return to Caesar.

Part Five[edit]

Note: This part of the quest is very difficult. If you are a low level, you should go do some side missions to level up. You will also need good weapons and armor.

Part five involves the Brotherhood of Steel. Go to their bunker in the Hidden Valley. If you haven't interacted with them before, you will need to talk to a Ranger first. You need to convince him to leave without giving away that the Brotherhood are here.

The Brotherhood will take away your weapons upon entering their bunker, so it's a good idea to bring some holdout weapons. Alternatively, bring Veronica, and you can move freely through it.

You have been tasked with blowing up the bunker. To do this, you need three keycards from the main members. You can steal from them, or kill them. Stealing means you can get the others without dealing with a bunch of hostile Brotherhood members. Elder McNamara, Head Paladin Hardin, and Head Scribe Taggart all have the cards and they can be found on level 2. Once you have all the keys, head back to the door to level 1, but go down the left hallway. This is the self-destruction room. Use the keys to get the self-destruct password from the green terminal, and enter the password in the blue terminal.

This will make the Brotherhood hostile to you. If you have a stealth boy, you can sneak your way back out, but if not, you will have to fight your way out. There are a lot of them, and they have good weapons and armor, so watch out. You need a key for the exit, from one of the scribes.

Alternate method: Kill everyone in the bunker. This will count it as complete.

Talking to Caesar after this will start the quest Et Tumor, Brute?
