Hunters are basically Archers with different skills and a better Weapon Attack rating, as well as being the only job that can capture monsters. You need to master two Archer A-abilites to become a Hunter.

Ultima Shot A 60 Varies Seventh Heaven 999 Attacks with powerful Ultima Magic

Capture A -- Varies Ranger Bow 200 Puts live monsters into the Monster Bank
Auto-Regen R -- -- Gaia Gear 300 Regenerates HP automatically as soon as you take damage
