Move forward, past the Save Sphere to trigger a scene with Kimahri. He informs the group of the troubles he is currently having. Garik Ronso is out of control and needs to be stopped. If you answered his questions correctly in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, Kimahri will also hand Yuna the Trainer Dressphere.

The teleport pads are disabled, so you must trek the entire mountain to reach the summit. Activate the teleport pads along the way to make getting to the Save Sphere at the entrance easier. (Taking a moment to save after activating each pad will make the trek to the top less frustrating if the fiends are harder than you thought they'd be.)

If you like, you can climb up the cliffs to the area where you chased the Leblanc Syndicate for a uniform to find a Ronso carving a statue. Exactly what she is carving will be revealed during Chapter 5. You can also continue up the cliffs to revisit the Floating Ruins and collect chests you may have missed.

At the summit you will find Garik Ronso accompanied by at least one Ronso Youth. The amount of Ronso Youths that fight with him depend on if you answered the Ronso's concerns correctly or incorrectly during the previous two chapters. If you answered most questions wrong, at the start of battle, Garik casts Mighty Guard on his group. Use dispel to negate several of the protective effects now on the Ronso. He will be accompanied by two Ronso Youths.

Garik attacks quickly and powerfully. He also likes to inflict the girls with Blind frequently. A Black Mage can be used to MP Drain Garik to siphon his MP. The Youths will use attacks that also drain MP, so it is best when attacking them to use physical attacks. Dresspheres such as Dark Knight, Gunner, and Warrior are best for this.

If you answered most the concerns correctly, Garik won't be as strong and will only have one Youth at his side. He won't use Mighty Guard and instead casts Protect and Shell on himself separately. His fighting style will be the same as mentioned before, but he will be easier to take out.
