As soon as the opening FMV finishes, the first battle begins.
Have Rikku Steal from ???? and then stick to attack while Paine attacks or have her use Power Break, found in the Swordplay sub-menu. If your HP gets low, have Rikku select item and use a Potion.
Afterwards you will be transported to dock 1. Just attack to kill the enemies in random battles. At the next screen, Dock 2, in the stacks of crates you will see a cowering moogle. If you go up to it and press X it will heal you and unlock an extra scene later in the game, as well as raising your completed percentage.
At Dock 3, you are confronted by Logos and Ormi. The fight is rather easy, have Rikku attack and use items, Paine attack and use Power break, and Yuna use attack or trigger happy.
After there will be another fight against Leblanc. Yuna will spherechange into her songstress dressphere. Have her use darkness dance, Paine use Power Break, and Rikku attack and use items. After the battle is over, you are on the Airship Celsius.

Returning forces you into another mission, the main part is to tell what Yuna was doing during the opening mission. Not much to do except run around in your moogle costume (aka Mascot, obtainable much later.) and pass out balloons. This dose, however, earn you points and gives you a dress sphere.
