Bartre is a wandering adventurer who likes nothing more than a good fight. He joins your team with Dorcas and can recruit Karla in Hector's Story.

Lyn is your first lord in the game so if she dies through out the whole game it's game over. She is looking for her grand father the king of Caelin. along her way she meets more people adding them to your party. Her story has ten chapters and is basically an intro to the rest of the game.

Eliwood joins the party in chapter 11 (12 in Hector's story). He is searching for his father, the Marquess of Pherae. He is the most balanced lord out of the three and has the most erratic growths. He can turn out amazing or terrible, but generally has very balanced stats. He is very fragile early on, so be sure to protect him well.
