After defeating the bandits, the group are spotted by some Begnion soldiers. The group quickly retreat to their base. Despite this the Begnion soldiers were still alerted to the dawn brigade's general position, encouraging them to start a search for them. The group quickly realise that if they don't flee they will be found and killed by the Begnion soldiers. So they attempt to flee, only to find that every escape route is blocked by Begnion soldiers. So they decide to take the route with the least amout of soldiers and fight their way through.

The battle[edit]

In this level, Nolan, the level 9 fighter, is introduced. He is necessary for you to complete the chapter, but don't over-estimate his defence. He can't take all of the enemies on alone - far from it - he will get severely hurt and will need healing even after defeating one or two enemies. So use Edward to back him up. Make Leonardo visit the nearby house (not the one with a soldier standing in front of it) and position Micaiah behind Nolan and Edward, in normal or hard playthroughs, the soldier in front of the house has a javelin, used for ranged attacks as well as melee ones. Be careful when fighting him and only use Leonardo or Micaiah to finish him off, otherwise they will get counterattacked and run the risk of dying during the next enemy phase.

Eventually move your group north-west (Visit the now guardless house with Nolan to receive a hand axe), battle-save, then challenge the boss once all of his nearby underlings have been defeated. Use everyone to defeat the boss, be careful, however, as he is a swordsman who will easily dodge most of your attacks. (Especially Nolan with the hand axe). He shouldn't be too much of a problem, however, so defeat him then complete the level.
