Possessable Objects are quite numerous, but aren't required to beat the game or unlock anything. Remember that you don't have to possess every object, just every type of object. If you possess a mop bucket, for instance, you won't have to possess another one later in the game (unless it's required to further the completion of the game). The following is a list of every unique type of possessable object in the game, listed by which you can access first. Objects not accessable in any order (such as a small room) are ordered alphabetically.

Note that level 1 has no possessable objects, since you're still human.

Level 2[edit]

There are 15 possessable objects in Level 2.

Possessable Object # Object Name Description When A button is Pressed First Location
2-1 Trapped Rat "It looks as if the animal is alive but scared." You can't do anything in it except look around. When facing the mirror, it's behind and to your right, on the floor next to a white file cabinet.
2-2 Mop Bucket "The janitors must have left this bucket behind." Moves the handle. When facing the mirror, to your left, in the center area of the room.
2-3 Antique Shooting Gallery "A fun toy that tests your marksmanship." It looks like a pinball machine. Move the crosshairs with either control stick. Fires a metal projectile where the crosshairs are pointed. To the right of the mirror.
2-4 Dynamo "Looks like turning the crank will power the light." When pressed rapidly, it charges both the dynamo and the light the bulb. When facing the mirror, it's behind you and to the left. You can possess it through either the dynamo itself or the lightbulb on the ground.
2-5 Schwalk Ale "A full can, discarded by a volks employee." You can roll around with this using the control sticks. Builds pressure, which makes the can explode. The can is in the middle of the room, in line with the mirror.
2-6 White Paint Bucket "Paint leftover from the construction of the compound." When pressed repeatedly (or five times slowly), the can slowly builds up enough pressure to blow off its lid. When facing the mirror, it's to the right on the shelf near the door.
2-7 Blue Paint Bucket "Filled with light blue paint." When pressed repeatedly (or five times slowly), the can slowly builds up enough pressure to blow off its lid. When facing the mirror, it's to the right on the shelf near the door.
2-8 Yellow Paint Bucket "A can with yellow paint spilling over the edges." When pressed repeatedly (or five times slowly), the can slowly builds up enough pressure to blow off its lid. When facing the mirror, it's to the right on the shelf near the door.
2-9 Explosive Container "A cargo container used for storing ammunition and explosives. Dangerous (and potentially useful) if shot or disturbed, a destroyed container will respawn in time." The container explods, destroying everything around it. When facing the mirror, it's to your left next to the wall opposite the door.
2-10 Phone "An emergency phone in case personnel comm systems fail." On the first press, it rings. On the second, creepy voices come out of it. This is a requirement for the progress of the game, you'll find it on the right wall as you enter the room with the sleeping janitor and Gigi.
