At the introduction screen, hold A button + B button + C button and press Start button. Release B button and C button but keep A button held down. Move the cursor to Options and press B button + C button. Highlight Exit and press B button + C button. Highlight your choice of players and press B button + C button. Choose Normal Game and press B button + C button. Choose your character and then press Up dpad + B button + C button + Start button. A blank screen should now appear, showing a single number in the center of the screen. Release A button now. Use A button and B button to change the stage number, then press Start button when it's at the stage you want.

Highlight Options, hold A button + B button + C button, and press Start. Release A button but keep B button + C button held. Set what options you want, ensuring difficulty remains on Normal. Exit the Options menu and start a new Normal Game and you should see eight credits at the selection screen.
