Overview[edit]

The Starbase consists of 40 rooms, most of which must be cleared before anything can be built in them. Those that must be cleared require an officer to clear them. The required officer level increases with the distance from the center. Each built room provides passive benefits and/or tasks. To initiate a task, click a room with the green text "TASK AVAILABLE" on it. Select an activity, then assign an officer. Finally, click the "CONFIRM TASK" button. The required resources for a particular task are indicated in the activity list. The required time is reduced by the selected officer's skill levels in Engineering, Tactics, and/or Science. If the bars above the estimated time are fairly full, the time will be less than if the bars are mostly empty. Building rooms costs materials and power. See the Production Rooms section for the power producing rooms.

Fleet Command[edit]

This room is already built when you start the game. You can get here quickly with the Fleet Management button or by pressing F3. See Ships for more information.

Ship Construction[edit]

This room is already built when you start the game. You can get here quickly with the Ship Construction button or by pressing F4. The bottom section lists the ships that you have the research to build. The tabs above it can be used to filter to the desired ship type; however, the Federation Shuttle only appears when "ALL" is selected. The upper section shows the base stats and traits. The build costs and build time are sandwiched in between. The right side shows all ships currently in production. When you select "CONSTRUCT SHIP," you will be asked to confirm. If applicable, the confirmation message will include a warning that you have no "AVAILABLE" officers to command it. You can safely ignore this if you are building a new ship for one of your existing officers. Since you can only build one ship at a time, the new ship will be built after all others currently in the queue are complete. If you want to put the new ship at the head of the queue, you will need to cancel all ships currently ahead of it. Cancelling a ship will refund all crew and dark matter, but will not refund any time spent.

Terran Starship Hangar[edit]

These come in five tiers. Each allows you to build the ships of the corresponding tier, to upgrade them, and to decrease ship build time by 15%. The upgrades apply to all ships of the specified class (whether you have built them yet or not) rather than line. The time decrease applies to every new ship, even if it is not of the same tier. Since these five tasks have equivalent rewards, you should research them in order. Once you have researched ship upgrades, the corresponding upgrade line will appear at the bottom of the Tech Tree. From there, you can research upgrades without officers, but it costs more dark matter.

Ship Repair Bay[edit]

This room allows you to research improvements to ship repairs.

Propulsion Lab[edit]

  • Build Cost: 900 Materials, 12 Energy

This room allows you to research better fuel efficiency and faster flights.

Production Rooms[edit]

Unlike other rooms, these can be built multiple times.

Dark Matter Multiplier[edit]

This increases the dark matter received from missions by 15%. It can also be used to create dark matter from officer time.

Materials Multiplier[edit]

This increases the materials received from missions by 15%. It can also be used to create materials from officer time.

Fuel Plant[edit]

  • Initial Research Cost: 250 Materials, 200 Dark Matter
  • Build Cost: 200 Materials, 5 Power

This room produces 1 fuel per day, supplementing the starbase's initial 1 fuel per day of production.

Diothrium Reactor[edit]

Station Bridge[edit]

This is used for communications when you are contacted. It is already built when you start the game.

Officer's Quarters[edit]

This is already built when you start the game. You can get to it quickly with the Officer Quarters button or by pressing F6. You can view your officers' stats, powers, traits, and bio here. You can also rename your officers. The powers tab will let you unlock new powers or upgrade existing ones if you have skill points available.

Officer Academy[edit]
