Description: The standard infantry unit. Not very powerful and not able to fight against planes. Should be replaced by Elite Infantry as soon as possible.
Description: Cavalry can be used to quickly take over buildings, but the units are rather weak and can't attack aerial or naval units. This Unit becomes less and less important as the game progresses.
Description: The best Infantry unit available in the game. Should always be preferred over normal Infantry units. Use with Supply Cars for better movement.
Description: Light Artillery is the only available artillery unit that can defend itself to a direct attack. Try to use them teamed up with bigger artillery for maximum efficiency.
Description: This Artillery has a superior range and power if compared to Light Artillery, but this comes at the disadvantage that it cannot move and fire during the same turn. Also has a very small movement rating.
Description: One of the most powerful Artillery units in the game. Cannot move off of streets by itself and should always be transported by a Supply Car. Always try to destroy your enemy's Heavy Artillery units first, since they can inflict tremendous amounts of damage.
Description: Very useful unit if used properly. Since they have no way to defend themselves, they should always be kept out of the enemy's range. If they are attacked, units transported by a Supply Car will also be damaged.
Description: A very high armour rating makes this unit a though enemy for infantry units. Best attacked with artillery units from a safe distance. Has no defense against aerial units.
Description: The first motorized vehicle available in the game. Has a good movement range but lacks the ability to take over buildings. Has no defense against aerial units.
Description: The French equivalent to the German Armoured Car. Has good movement range, cannot take over buildings and has no defense against aerial units.
Description: A very useful unit to quickly transport your units to the battlefield. Has no weapons to defend itself, so it should always be protected by other units. If a Supply Train is attacked, units inside it will be damaged, too. Can only be used on railway tracks (as all rail based units).
Description: Sappers are very weak in direct battle and should be kept out of the range of enemy units. They are capable of digging new trenches or removing old trenches from the battlefield and should be used wisely when planning your strategy.
Description: This unit allows you to construct your own depots on the battlefield to repair your units right on the frontline. Construction of a Depot takes two turns and requires 4 empty fields.
Description: Due to its rail-based nature, the Train Artillery usually ends up in a defensive position. If you have a chance to move this unit close to the frontline, it can become the most powerful weapon in the whole game that can take out any enemy unit in an single round. Can only be used on railway tracks (as all rail based units).
Description: The first ground unit in the game which is designed specifically to attack enemy planes. Has a fire range of two which means it can fire at range against planes without taking damage in return. Some limited defensive capability against ground attack. Cheap to manufacture, but lacks mobility.
Description: Although not much more powerful than the stationary emplacement, the mobile version has double the range and is much quicker across the ground (and therefore useful against fast moving planes). Should be preferred to the stationary version if it can be afforded.
