Intelligent Systems is a video game developer and internal team of Nintendo.

Intelligent Systems came into being when members of Nintendo's Nintendo Research & Development 1 division, headed by Gunpei Yokoi, splintered off into its own development team. R&D1 developed Kid Icarus and Metroid the same year that Intelligent Systems spawned.
