Katekyoo Hitman Reborn! DS: Shinuki Max! Vongola Carnival!! (家庭教師ヒットマンREBORN!DS 死ぬ気MAX!ボンゴレカーニバル!!?) is an action video game and the first in the Reborn! franchise, based on the anime series which itself was based on Akira Amano's shounen manga series of the same name. It was developed and published by Takara Tomy and released in Japan on March 29, 2007 for the Nintendo DS. Its story is focused on the Daily Life and Kokuyo arcs; the former begins when weak and unpopular Japanese middle school student Tsunayoshi Sawada is informed of his lineage as the 10th boss of a prominent Italian mafia family, followed by his "training" under the tutelage of a baby hitman named Reborn and his gathering of loyal subordinates. The Kokuyo arc begins with random attacks on students that happen to attend Tsuna's middle school, culminating in an attack on one of his followers and forcing him to spring into action as a mafia boss.

The game's story is told through short mini-games that progress the plot once successfully completed. The mini-games often make use of the DS touch screen or simple button combinations and are split into "tests" which coincide with different tasks, ranging from dodging attacks from the yakuza to hitting a baseball. Precision, speed, and quick reaction times are a common necessity in completing the mini-games. Extra mini-games include roulette and blackjack, which double as ways to earn yen and unlock more mini-games.
