Mario Kart Grand Prix[edit]

Nitro Grand Prix[edit]

The Nitro Grand Prix is made of all new courses. The four different cups are Mushroom, Flower, Star, and Special. Star Cup can be unlocked by getting gold trophies in the Mushroom and Flower Cups. Special Cup can be unlocked by getting another gold trophy in the Star Cup.

Retro Grand Prix[edit]

Retro Grand Prix is a collection of tracks from all the other Mario Kart games. Here you will race on courses that were originally in Super Mario Kart (SNES), Mario Kart 64 (N64), Mario Kart: Super Circuit (GBA), or Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GCN). The four different cups are Shell, Banana, Leaf, and Lightning. The Leaf Cup is unlocked by getting gold trophies in the Shell and Banana Cups. The Lightning Cup is unlocked by getting a gold trophy in Leaf Cup.

Mission Mode[edit]

Mission Mode is a six-level game play mode. Here, the driver must complete a series of eight missions and a boss battle to complete a level. The mission objectives range from collecting coins to going through gates, all on a variety of different race tracks and battle tracks. Just like in Grand Prix mode, the driver is ranked on how well they performed on a scale of E to three stars, E being the worst rank and three stars being the best rank.

There is also a seventh level that can be unlocked by getting at least one star in every mission before it.
