For the first time in the Mario Kart series, you've got a choice between two types of vehicles. As with the characters, the karts and bikes fall into three weight classes, which affect how the vehicle handles and how it reacts following collisions or impacts.
Heavier bikes and karts will be affected less by impacts from other racers and have higher top speeds than their lighter counterparts, but the smaller vehicles will accelerate faster following collisions or weapon impacts and have sharper handling.

Small/Lightweight[edit]
- Tiny Titan (Rally Romper): unlock 1 Expert Staff Ghost Data.
- Cheep Charger: attain at least 1 star for every 50cc Wii Cups.
- Blue Falcon: win the Mirror Lightning Cup
- Quacker: win the 150cc Star Cup
- Magikruiser: 8 recorded times on Time Trials.
- Jet Bubble (Bubble Bike): win the Mirror Leaf Cup.
Medium/middleweight[edit]
- Sprinter (B Dasher Mk. 2): unlock 24 Expert Staff Ghost.
- Super Blooper: get a gold trophy (first place) in the 50CC Leaf Cup.
- Zip Zip (Rapide)Get 1st place on 100CC Lightning Cup.
- Daytripper (Royal Racer): win the 150CC Leaf Cup.
- Dolphin Dasher: win the Mirror Star Cup.
- Sneakster (Nitrocycle): Complete 100CC with full rank star.
Heavyweight[edit]
- Piranha Prowler: win the 50cc Special Cup.
- Shooting Star: win the 100cc Star Cup.
- Jetsetter (Aero Glider): get 1 star in all 150cc retro cups.
- Honeycoupe (Dragonetti):Get first place in 150CC Lightning cup
- Phantom: win the mirror special cup.
