There are 12 different special weapons in the game. They are obtained by collecting and assembling parts found in different locations (unlike classic Mega Man and Mega Man X games, where they are obtained whenever the player defeats a boss).

Normal arm (kick)[edit]

The normal arm is the default special weapon, when no actual special weapon is owned. Despite the name, it is a kick.

Special effect weapons[edit]

Vacuum arm[edit]

By far the most useful special weapon! It sucks all refractors, allowing Mega Man to collect even those dropped by far away enemies.

Drill arm[edit]

It allows to break weak walls and access new areas.

Blade arm[edit]

A powerful sword, in the style of Zero.

Shield arm[edit]

Only useful in Easy Mode, where the Mega Buster is more powerful than any special weapon.

Busters[edit]

Powered buster[edit]

Machine buster[edit]

Shining laser[edit]

Maximum attack, but Mega Man cannot move while shooting.

Active buster[edit]

The cost to upgrade just the Active Buster to the maximum is almost equal to the sum of the costs to upgrade all the other weapons in the game!

Homing projectiles.

Grenades[edit]

Splash mine[edit]

The first special weapon obtained in the game.

Grenade arm[edit]

Spread buster[edit]

Grand grenade[edit]
