Stage walkthrough[edit]

If you're in Easy or Extreme Mode, abuse the Shotgun Ice: in this stage there are many steps and walls that allow to get the best from this bouncing weapon.

Sub-Tank[edit]

When you see the yellow digging tank, jump back up to the ledge you came from, then jump down behind the tank. Continue to the left to find the Sub-Tank.

Heart[edit]

When you see the second yellow tank, switch back to the X-Buster and turn on the Rapid Fire. You have to destroy the tank before it makes the heart out of reach.

Head Upgrade / Zero Dash[edit]

After the Heart you'll get to another car on a rail. Ride it to the exit of the stage. When the car jumps in the open air, jump higher to get on a ledge. In a small alcove is Dr. Light capsule, where you can find the Head Upgrade. In Easy or Extreme Mode you'll get the Zero Scramble Dash instead.

  • "Install the program Zero Scramble Dash! This program will allow you to call your best partner, Zero... The range of the attacks is limited but it can help you a lot if you use it wisely. Be careful about your energy..."

Maverick: Armored Armadillo[edit]

MMX-CyberMission Boss11 ArmoredArmadillo.png

Armored Armadillo has a tough armor that allows him to reflect any attack back. He's only vulnerable when the armor is open, i.e. when he's jumping after his Rolling Shield attack all around the arena.

Armored Armadillo's attacks:

  • Rolling Shield
  • Head cannon
  • Mirror armor

In Easy & Extreme Modes, the Electric Spark can remove the armor from the Maverick, making him vulnerable at any time.

After the victory, you earn the Rolling Shield. When it is charged up, it allows protection even against spikes!
